Camilla Maria Brekke (born 7 September 2000) is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party.

Brekke hails from Holmestrand Municipality. In 2022 she was named as deputy mayor, replacing the former deputy mayor who experienced health issues. [1]

She was elected as a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway from Vestfold for the term 2021–2025. In May 2023, Vestfold representative Truls Vasvik joined Støre's Cabinet as a State Secretary. Brekke then moved up to serve as a full representative, but this only lasted until October 2023 when Vasvik exited the cabinet. Brekke sat on the Standing Committee on Health and Care Services. Brekke is a former municipality in the old Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. The municipality has existed two separate times: from 1850 until 1861 and then again from 1905 until its dissolution in 1964. It was located in the northeastern part of the present-day Gulen Municipality in Vestland county. The municipality encompassed about 207 square kilometres (80 sq mi) south of the Sognefjorden, centered on the Risnesfjorden arm that reaches to the south from the main fjord. The administrative center of the municipality was the village of Brekke, located on the southern shore of the Sognefjord, about a 35 kilometres (22 mi) drive from the village of Eivindvik. The main church for the municipality was Brekke Church.

The University of South-Eastern Norway, commonly known as USN, is a Norwegian state university. It has campuses in Bø in Telemark, Porsgrunn, Notodden, Rauland, Drammen, Hønefoss, Kongsberg and Horten. USN is a continuation of the three former university colleges, Telemark University College, Buskerud University College and Vestfold University College, which merged between 2014 and 2016 to form the University College of South-Eastern Norway. Sandra Konstance Nygård Borch is a Norwegian politician who served as the minister of research and higher education from 2023 to 2024 until her resignation over the extensive plagiarism of her master's thesis. As minister she had launched a crackdown on students' reuse of their own texts, so-called "self-plagiarism," leading to criticism from many academics who argued that reuse of one's own work is not plagiarism or research misconduct. She previously served as minister of agriculture and food from 2021 to 2023. A member of the Centre Party, she served as the leader of the Centre Youth from 2011 to 2013, while simultaneously serving as a deputy MP from her home constituency of Troms from 2009 to 2013. She was elected a permanent representative in 2017. In January 2024 it was revealed that significant parts of her master's thesis had been plagiarised. She announced her resignation in the evening of 19 January 2024. In March 2024 she lost her degree from the University of Tromsø.
