Camille Dias (born 28 August 1996 in Leysin, Switzerland [1] [2] ) is a Swiss-Portuguese alpine skier. She competed for Portugal at the 2014 Winter Olympics in the slalom and giant slalom. [3] Dias is the daughter of emigrants from Portugal who now live in Switzerland, which allows her to compete for the country. [3]

She competed under the name Vanessa Vanakorn for Thailand in alpine skiing at the 2014 Winter Olympics. She was initially banned from skiing by the International Ski Federation (FIS) after participating in a qualifying race allegedly organised to enable her to qualify for the Winter Olympics. An appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport led to the ban being nullified, citing lack of evidence for her own wrongdoing or any manipulation. The FIS later issued an apology to her.

Nevin Galmarini is a Swiss snowboarder and Olympic Champion. In February 2018, Nevin Galmarini won a gold medal at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea in the Parallel giant slalom. In 2009, he won the Swiss nationalships and became the Swiss champion in parallel giant slalom. He competed in the parallel giant slalom for Switzerland during the 2010 Winter Olympic games in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and in the 2014 Winter Olympic games in Sochi, Russia where he won the silver medal. She was the second woman to win an Olympic gold in two separate disciplines but the first to do so at the same Winter Olympics. Justin Murisier is a Swiss World Cup alpine ski racer who competes in giant slalom and the speed disciplines of downhill and super-G. Earlier, he also competed in slalom.
Ramon Zenhäusern is a Swiss World Cup alpine ski racer and specializes in slalom. He made his World Cup debut in November 2012 and competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, in slalom. At the Olympics in 2018, Zenhäusern took silver in the slalom and gold in the team event. He competed in the slalom at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing. At his third World Championships in 2019, he was fifth in the slalom and won gold in the team event.
Michelle Gisin is a Swiss World Cup alpine ski racer and competes in all disciplines. A two-time Olympic gold medalist, she won the Women's combined event in 2018 Winter Olympics, and Women's combined at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Born in Samedan, Graubünden, Gisin is the younger sister of alpine ski racers Marc and Dominique Gisin.
The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2021 were held from 8–21 February in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy. In May 2020, the Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI) and the event organizing committee asked the International Ski Federation (FIS) to postpone the event until 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however, the request was rejected by FIS, and the organizers then moved forward with plans for 2021.
Connor Wilson is a South African alpine skier. He was the sole athlete competing for South Africa at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
