Bipolar is the second album by Filipino independent band Up Dharma Down, released on 24 October 2008 by Terno Recordings. After the critical success of their debut album Fragmented, Up Dharma Down was seemingly pressured to avoid the "sophomore slump"; the band made sure that when Bipolar was released, they would "all be happy with it."

Armi Olbes Millare is a Filipino singer best known as the lead vocalist and keyboardist of Filipino alternative rock band Up Dharma Down. On December 26, 2021, Millare left the band due to the lack of transparency from her former label, Terno Recordings.

Niles Hollowell-Dhar, known professionally as Kshmr, is an American musician, songwriter, DJ, record producer, former rapper, and singer. He was ranked 23rd on DJ Mag's 2015 Top 100 DJs poll and was awarded highest new entry for the year. In the same poll he elevated to 12th in 2016 and 2017, and again in 2020. He was ranked 11th in the same poll in 2021; and in 2022 in same poll he ranked 12. In July 2017, he launched Dharma Worldwide, a sublabel of Spinnin' Records. The relationship between Buddhism and democracy has a long history with some scholars claiming the very foundations of Buddhist society were democratic. Though some historic Buddhist societies have been categorized as feudalistic, the relationship between peasants and land owners was often voluntary. Free-thinking Buddhist societies supported autonomy; peasants had mobility and could own land themselves.
