Cape Coast Castle Museum is an ethnography and archeological museum located in Cape Coast, Ghana. [1] It was established in 1974. [2]
Ghana, officially the Republic of Ghana, is a country in West Africa. According to the 2021 census, Cape Coast had a settlement population of 189,925 people. The language of the people of Cape Coast is Fante.
Cape Coast Castle is one of about forty "slave castles", or large commercial forts, built on the Gold Coast of West Africa by European traders. It was originally a Portuguese "feitoria" or trading post, established in 1555, which was named Cabo Corso.
Elmina, also known as Edina by the local Fante, is a town and the capital of the Komenda/Edina/Eguafo/Abirem District on the south coast of Ghana in the Central Region, situated on a bay on the Atlantic Ocean, 12 kilometres west of Cape Coast. Elmina was the first European settlement in West Africa and it has a population of 33,576 people.
Princes Town or Pokesu is located 5 km east of Fort St. Antonio on Manfro Hill in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region of south Ghana, Africa. It lies between Axim to the west and Sekondi-Takoradi to the east. On 1 January 1681, a Brandenburger expedition of two ships commanded by Otto Friedrich von der Groeben arrived in the Gold Coast and began to build a strong fort between Axim and the Cape of Three Points. The fort was completed in 1683 and was named Fort Fredericksburg in honour of Prince Frederick William I, Elector of Brandenburg. Because the fort was named after a Prince, it has been referred to as Princes Town. The fort was to be the headquarters of the Brandenburgers in Africa.

Mfantsipim is an all-boys boarding secondary school in Cape Coast, Ghana, established by the Methodist Church in 1876 to foster intellectual, moral, and spiritual growth on the then Gold Coast. Its founding name was Wesleyan High School and the first headmaster was James Picot, a French scholar, who was only 18 years old on his appointment.

Fort São Sebastião located in Shama, Ghana, is the third oldest fortification in Ghana. Along with several other castles in Ghana, it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979 because of its testimony to the history of European trade, colonization, and exploitation in the region.
Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly is one of the twenty-two districts in Central Region, Ghana. Originally created as a municipal district assembly in 1988 when it was known as Cape Coast Municipal District, which was created from the Cape Coast Municipal Council; until it was later elevated to metropolitan district assembly status on 29 February 2008 to become Cape Coast Metropolitan District. The municipality is located in the southwest part of Central Region and has Cape Coast as its capital town; which is also the regional capital of the Central Region.

The Cape Coast Nursing and Midwifery Training College is a public tertiary health institution in the Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana. The college is in the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly. The activities of the institution is supervised by the Ministry of Health. The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology awards a Diploma in Nursing after students from the institution have successfully completed a three-year nursing training programme. The institution is accredited by the National Accreditation Board. The Nursing and Midwifery Council (N&MC) regulates the activities, curriculum and examination of the student nurses and midwives. The council's mandate is derived from the Health Professions Regulatory Bodies Act, 2013.
Yamoransa is a small town near Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana It lies along the main international road that connects Kumasi-Cape Coast or and Accra-Cape Coast or. It is a developing community with different economic activities. Notable of these is the kenkey and bread trades by most of the women of the community mostly around their main Lorry Station. The community has about 5 private and 3 public basic schools with 1 Private Senior High School and 1 Vocational School. Fort William Lighthouse is located on the Dawson's Hill in the old centre of Cape Coast, in Ghana's Central Region. The lighthouse is often called Cape Coast Castle Light, although it is not part of the Cape Coast Castle complex. It is about 600 metres away from the Castle. Along with the Cape Coast Castle and other castles and forts in Ghana, the lighthouse was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979 because of its historical importance.
Fort Victoria is a structure in Cape Coast, Ghana. It was initially known as 'Phipps Tower', in honour of its initial constructor English Governor Phipps. Its name was changed later to Fort Victoria in honor of Queen Victoria. Along with other nearby forts and castles, Fort Victoria was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979 because of its European colonial significance.
