Carl Simpson (born April 18, 1970) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Florida State Seminoles.
Simpson was born in Vidalia, Georgia. [1] He graduated from Appling County High School in Baxley Georgia. [2] Simpson attended Florida State University, and was a student and a letterman in football. In football, he was a two-year starter as a defensive lineman, and as a senior, he was a first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection.
He was selected by the Chicago Bears in the second round (35th overall) of the 1993 NFL Draft. [3] [4] In 5 seasons with the Bears and 1 season with the Arizona Cardinals, he recorded 7.5 sacks. [5] [6]
Cornell Desmond Brown is an American football coach and former American college and professional football player who was a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons. He played college football for Virginia Tech, and earned All-American honors twice. Drafted late in the sixth round of the 1997 NFL draft, he played professionally for the NFL's Baltimore Ravens. In 2013, Brown was inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame.
