Carl Thomas (born October 3, 1969) is American former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is currently the head coach at Cleary University. [1]
Though born in Dayton, Ohio, Thomas moved to Lansing, Michigan where he played basketball at Everett High School. He went on to college at Eastern Michigan University, where he also played basketball.
Thomas began his NBA career with the Sacramento Kings in 1991–92, playing one game, playing 31 minutes, scoring 12 points. He did not return to the league until 1996–97, when he joined the Cleveland Cavaliers. His final NBA season in 1997–98 was split between the Golden State Warriors, Orlando Magic, and the Cavaliers (for a second stint).
Thomas last played professionally with an Italian team, Fileni Jesi. He is the twin brother of former Detroit Pistons player Charles Thomas. [2]
Thomas took a position as head of the Jackson College basketball program in 2013. [3] He previously worked as an assistant basketball coach at Eastern Michigan University. [2]
On August 23, 2022, Thomas was named the first head coach of the Cleary University men's basketball program. [4]

Luke Ryan Jackson is an American former professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Earl Antoine Boykins is an American former professional basketball player. Standing at 5 feet 5 inches (1.65 m) in height, he is the second-shortest player in NBA history behind Muggsy Bogues, who is 5 feet 3 inches (1.60 m) tall. Larry Farmer is an American basketball coach and former player. Farmer served as the head basketball coach at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) from 1981 to 1984, Weber State University from 1985 to 1988, and Loyola University Chicago from 1998 to 2004. He played college basketball at UCLA, where he was a member of three national championships-winning teams for the UCLA Bruins under head coach John Wooden in the early 1970s. In 2018, Farmer was inducted into the UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame.
Philip Gregory Hubbard is an American former professional basketball player and coach. The Eastern Michigan Eagles men's basketball team represents Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The team currently competes in the West division of the Mid-American Conference (MAC). They have appeared in four NCAA Division I tournaments and have a 3–4 record, tied for third best among Michigan colleges. They reached the Sweet Sixteen in the 1991 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament and defeated the Duke Blue Devils in the first round of the 1996 tournament.

The Fab Five was the 1991 University of Michigan men's basketball team recruiting class that many consider one of the greatest recruiting classes of all time. The class consisted of Detroit natives Chris Webber (#4) and Jalen Rose (#5), Chicago native Juwan Howard (#25), and two recruits from Texas: Plano's Jimmy King (#24) and Austin's Ray Jackson (#21). The Fab Five were the first team in NCAA history to compete in the championship game with all-freshman starters.
Findlay Prep is a former high school basketball program located in Henderson, Nevada. The program was created in 2006 by local businessman Cliff Findlay, who owns several car dealerships in the Las Vegas area. Despite closing its high school in 2010 due to the local economic downturn, the Findlay Prep players took high school classes at Henderson International School. Findlay was part of the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association (NIAA), but they were ineligible to compete in state championships due to the fact that they were allowed to recruit from outside the state. Instead, they competed for National High School Invitational (NHSI) championships, an 8 team tournament featuring the top high school teams in the country played in New York. They won a total of 3 national championships during their time, coming in 2009, 2010, and 2012, all under Mike Peck. Through the years, Findlay has produced 17 NBA players and over 70 Division I athletes. The program produced several international players as well from countries like Lithuania, Senegal, Canada, France, Georgia, and others. They had an all-time record of 381–43 (.899), with only 2 losses ever on their home court.
The 2014–15 Eastern Michigan Eagles men's basketball team represented Eastern Michigan University during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Eagles, led by fourth year head coach Rob Murphy, played their home games at the Eastern Michigan University Convocation Center, as members of the West Division of the Mid-American Conference. They finished the season 21–14, 8–10 in MAC play to finish in a tie for fourth place in the West Division. They advanced to the quarterfinals of the MAC tournament where they lost to Toledo. They were invited to the College Basketball Invitational where they lost in the first round to Louisiana–Monroe.
Emoni James-Wayne Bates is an American professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA), on a two-way contract with the Cleveland Charge of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Memphis Tigers and the Eastern Michigan Eagles.
