Jandek is the musical project of Sterling Smith, a Houston, Texas-based American lo-fi folk singer. Since 1978, Jandek has independently released over 120 albums while granting an interview extremely rarely and providing no biographical information, releasing on a self-made label, "Corwood Industries". Jandek often plays an idiosyncratic and frequently atonal form of folk and blues music, frequently using an open and unconventional chord structure. AllMusic has described Jandek as "the most enigmatic figure in American music".

The Lord Lonsdale Challenge Belt, commonly known as the Lonsdale Belt, is the oldest championship belt in British professional boxing. The 5th Earl of Lonsdale introduced the prize on behalf of the National Sporting Club (NSC), intending it to be awarded to British boxing champions. Arthur Frederick Bettinson, manager of the NSC, introduced terms and conditions regarding the holding of the belt, which ensured its lasting prestige. Freddie Welsh earned the first Lonsdale Belt in 1909 after winning the NSC British Lightweight title. Heavyweight Henry Cooper was the first and only boxer to win three Lonsdale Belts. In 1929 the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) assumed responsibility for awarding the belt, which continues to be bestowed on British champions.

He is a former world champion in two weight classes, holding the WBC super featherweight title from 2021 to 2022, and the WBO featherweight title from 2016 to 2019. He is also an actor and model. He was U.S.B.F. Cruiserweight Champion, a title won in 1995 with a 9th-round knock out against Fred Adams of Clearwater, Florida. He defended his title six times, all by knockouts, then received a 12-round split decision loss to Kenny Keene in his home town of Boise, Idaho in 1998. In May 1998, after his loss in Biloxi, Mississippi, to the 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist, Vasily Jirov of Russia, his recognition in the world of boxing and his marketability increased. He appeared on television programs: E.T., Inside Edition, Hard Copy, and Extra. He also appeared in a number of feature films including: A Civil Action, Urban Relics, Moon over Miami, and appeared alongside Robert De Niro as Carmine in the 1999 film Flawless. He was featured in (G.Q.)Gentlemen's Quarterly Magazine with an 8-page spread in July 1998.
