Carolina Allier

Carolina Allier (born 1941) is a Mexican former badminton player that competed nationally and internationally during the 1960s in the women's singles, women's doubles and mixed doubles events. [1] Her brother is Guillermo Allier who is a former badminton player too.

During the 1960s, she ranked among the best Mexican badminton singles players and, together with Antonio Rangel, they became the most successful Mexican mixed doubles team of such decade. Nonetheless, Carolina Allier was also an outstanding badminton player in the women's doubles event. [1]

In 1958, Carolina Allier won for the first time a title in the Mexican National Championship of Badminton. She won 21 more titles in such competition in its three different categories. [1]

In addition, between 1964 and 1968, Carolina Allier won 5 more titles in the Mexican National Open of Badminton. [1]

Besides, Carolina Allier also competed internationally and won some badminton tournaments in different parts of the World.

A very complete and versatile badminton player, Carolina Allier was capable of winning championships playing women's singles as well as teaming up with different badminton partners during her long badminton career.

They won the Canadian Open women's doubles the following year. Barinaga shared the mixed doubles title at U.S. Open in 1966, and won both singles and doubles at the same tournament in 1968. Her last full season of competition, 1969–1970, was probably her best. After claiming a number of titles in Great Britain, she won all three events at the U.S Championships and women's singles at the Canadian Open. Barinaga was a member of three U.S. Uber Cup teams, the first of which retained the women's world team championship. She was inducted into the U.S. Badminton Hall of Fame in 2003.

Kavidi Ishadika Sirimannage is a Sri Lankan badminton player. In 2010, she won the mixed doubles title at the Sri Lanka Air Force Championships with Niluka Karunaratne. In 2015, she was crowned as the champion in the women's doubles, and the runner-up in the singles and mixed doubles. In 2016 she helped the Sri Lankan women's team win a silver medal at the South Asian Games, and also won a bronze in the singles and the mixed doubles event. She won the 2017 Summer Season Championships in the women's doubles event with Thilini Hendahewa, and was the runner-up in the singles. She won her first international title at the Lagos International tournament in the women's doubles event with Hendahewa. She competed at the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei, Taiwan, and at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast.

Naty Liliana Rangel de la Concha is a Mexican badminton player. She was part of the national team that competed at the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games and won a gold medal in the women's doubles event also two bronze medals from mixed doubles and team events. Rangel participated at the 2007 and 2011 Pan American Games.
