Carolyn Hayes (born 1 March 1988 in Newcastle West [1] ) is an Irish triathlete. [2]

She competed in the women's event at the 2020 Summer Olympics, [3] as the only Irish triathlete in the event. [4] Formerly a water polo player, [5] she only began competing in the triathlon in her 20s, [1] putting a medical career on hold to train for the Olympics beginning in 2018. [6] [7] She was inspired to compete in the Olympics by the 2012 performances of British triathletes Alistair Brownlee and Jonny Brownlee. [4] She finished 23rd in the event. [1] [5]

Julia Hauser is an Austrian triathlete. She competed in the women's event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. In 2021, she competed in the women's event at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan, but did not finish. She was also scheduled to compete in the mixed relay event but the Austrian team did not start. In June 2023 she finished second in the women's event at the European Games in Poland.

Jessica Learmonth is a British triathlete. Learmonth is a European, Commonwealth and World Triathlon Series medal winner based in Leeds, England where she trains at the Leeds Triathlon Centre. She won the European Triathlon Championship in 2017 and took silver in 2018. She competed in the women's event and the mixed relay at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, winning silver medals in both disciplines. Learmonth won silver in the 2019 World Triathlon Series.

Taylor Knibb is an American triathlete and the 2022 and 2023 Women's Ironman 70.3 World Champion. She competed in the women's event at the 2020 Summer Olympics, held in Tokyo in 2021, finishing sixteenth. Later that same Olympics, she won a silver medal in the mixed relay event. Knibb is the youngest woman ever to qualify for the US Olympic triathlon team. Knibb earned her spot on the US Olympic team after she won gold in the season opener of the 2021 World Triathlon Championship Series, held on May 15, 2021, in Yokohoma, Japan.
