Carrossel is the ninth studio album released by Brazilian rock band Skank, the last in the "deconstruction trilogy" [2] begun with Maquinarama in which the group changed from ska towards a more rock-oriented sound influenced by The Beatles and Clube da Esquina. Carrossel was the fifth best-selling album in São Paulo in 2006, peaking at second place. [3]
Other than Samuel Rosa's usual songwriting partner Chico Amaral, there are contributions from Nando Reis, Humberto Effe, César Maurício, Arnaldo Antunes and Rodrigo Leão.
The track "Trancoso" was written with Arnaldo Antunes at Trancoso beach. [4] The album's released singles are "Mil acasos", "Seus passos" and "Uma canção é pra isso" - the latter received a video which was nominated for the 2006 MTV Video Music Brazil award. [5]

Marisa de Azevedo Monte is a Brazilian singer, composer, instrumentalist, and producer of Brazilian popular music and samba. As of 2011, she had sold 10 million albums worldwide and has won numerous national and international awards, including four Latin Grammys, seven Brazilian MTV Video Music Awards, nine Multishow de Música Brasileira awards, 5 APCAs, and six Prêmio TIM de Música. Skank is a Brazilian band from Belo Horizonte. Having begun in 1991, they sold approximately 5,200,000 copies of their albums as of 2004. Initially intending to mix dancehall with traditional Brazilian styles, later the band changed its sonority to music closer to Britpop and local movement Clube da Esquina.

Nando Reis is a Brazilian musician and producer, best known as the former bassist and one of the lead singers of Brazilian rock band Titãs and for his successful solo career, with his own band called Os Infernais. He has also produced a few albums, including some related to Cássia Eller, who has made several significant partnerships with him, and Marisa Monte. In 2012, Nando Reis was listed among the top ten Brazilian artists at the ECAD list of artists who earned the most from copyright in the first semester of that year. In 2016, he was at the 15th position, besides being 6th in the ranking of earnings from live performances and topped the ranking of earnings from music played in public places.

Multishow Ao Vivo - Skank no Mineirão is the eleventh live album released by Brazilian rock band Skank in 2010 by Sony Music in DVD and CD formats. The Concert have been recorded at Mineirão in Belo Horizonte for more than 50 thousand people. In this album, they mixed old songs, chosen by the audience in an internet polling, with new songs. The cover shows Mineirão in its inauguration in 1965.
