Old Crow Medicine Show is an Americana string band based in Nashville, Tennessee, that has been recording since 1998. They were inducted into the Grand Ole Opry on September 17, 2013. Their ninth album, Remedy, released in 2014, won the Grammy Award for Best Folk Album. The group's music has been called old-time, folk, and alternative country. Along with original songs, the band performs many pre-World War II blues and folk songs.

Alison Krauss & Union Station is an American bluegrass and country band associated with singer Alison Krauss. It was initially composed of Krauss, Jeff White, Mike Harman and John Pennell. Later additions included Tim Stafford, Ron Block, Adam Steffey, Barry Bales and Larry Atamanuik. In 1992, Stafford was replaced by guitar and mandolin player Dan Tyminski and in 1998, Steffey left and was replaced by Dobro player Jerry Douglas.

Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros is an American folk rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 2005. The group is led by singer Alex Ebert. The band's name is based on a story Ebert wrote in his youth, about a messianic figure named Edward Sharpe. Drawing from roots rock, folk, gospel, and psychedelic music, the band's image and sound evoke the hippie movement of the 1960s and 1970s. The group's first show was played July 18, 2007, at The Troubadour in West Hollywood, California. Their first studio album, Up from Below, was released on July 7, 2009, on Community Records and featured the popular single "Home". The group released their second full-length album, Here, on May 29, 2012, and third album, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, on July 23, 2013. Their fourth studio album, PersonA, was released in April 2016.

Water Tower formerly The Water Tower Bucket Boys was a bluegrass and old-time band from Portland, Oregon. They formed in 2005 and self released three full-length albums and two EPs. Their critically acclaimed and best-selling album Sole Kitchen was produced and recorded by Mike Herrera of Tumbledown and MxPx and featured all original songs, including Blackbird Pickin' At A Squirrel with guest vocals from Mike. The band performed live on NPR's West Coast Live and RTÉ1's Pat Kenney Show and recorded sessions for Mark Lamarr's program on BBC 2 on their 2009 and 2010 tours of the UK. In 2009 they were picked by Chuck Ragan of Hot Water Music to appear on a portion of the Revival Tour and their song Wide Open Spaces was selected for inclusion on the 2009 Tour Compilation. The band played notable festivals such as the Open House Festival, the Pickathon, the San Francisco Bluegrass and Old-Time Festival, and Seattle's Folklife Festival. They have performed on stage with artists as diverse as Frank Turner, Kitty, Daisy, and Lewis, Chuck Ragan, the Crooked Jades, and the Foghorn Stringband, and shared bills with groups ranging from Hayseed Dixie to Old Crow Medicine Show.

William Currie Watson is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, banjo player, actor and founding member of Old Crow Medicine Show. His debut solo album Folk Singer, Vol. I, was released in May 2014; its follow-up Folksinger, Vol. 2 was released September 15, 2017 on Acony Records. He has appeared at the Newport Folk Festival and other major music festivals. He currently resides in the Woodland Hills district of Los Angeles.
