Carter Meadows (born November 19, 2007) is an American college football defensive end for the Michigan Wolverines.
Meadows was born on November 19, 2007, and grew up in Bethesda, Maryland. [1] He is the nephew of basketball coach Randy Ayers. [2] He attended Gonzaga College High School where he played both football and basketball, receiving offers to play in college in both sports. [3] He had nine tackles as a freshman and 23 tackles as a sophomore in 2023. [1] He then tallied 33 tackles and two sacks in six games in 2024. [4] He was named honorable mention All-Met by The Washington Post in 2024 and first-team all-conference in 2025. [1]
Meadows was a five-star prospect and the top recruit in Washington, D.C. [5] He was a consensus top-10 prospect nationally, being ranked sixth overall by 247Sports. [6] He committed to play college football for the Michigan Wolverines. [4] He signed with the Wolverines in December 2025. [6]
