Cartoon Violence is the second studio album indie rock band Herzog, released on March 19, 2012 on Exit Stencil Recordings. It was recorded more collaboratively than their debut album, Search, with Nick Tolar assisted by Tony Vorell, who wrote the album's lyrics. [1]

The Skinny gave the album a moderately positive review and described the album's sound as "all Beach Boys-style rolling harmonies and full-blooded power-chord choruses." Another such review came from Loud and Quiet, who wrote, "rather than taking influence from the noughties pop-punk, they at times simply recreate it," and Bill Losey of the Ventura County Star called the album "fun, fun, fun."
The Dwarves are an American punk rock band formed in Chicago, Illinois, United States, as The Suburban Nightmare, in the mid-1980s. They are currently based in San Francisco, California. Formed as a garage punk band, their career subsequently saw them move in a hardcore direction before settling into an eclectic punk rock sound emphasizing intentionally shocking lyrics. They have been described as "one of the last true bastions of punk rock ideology in the contemporary musical age".

Shonen Knife is a Japanese Alternative rock band formed in Osaka, in 1981. Heavily influenced by 1960s girl groups, pop bands, The Beach Boys, and early punk rock bands, such as the Ramones, the trio crafts stripped-down songs with simple yet unconventional lyrics sung both in Japanese and English.
Rock n Roll is the fourth studio album by Ryan Adams, released on November 4, 2003. The album features the hit single "So Alive", and includes guest appearances by Adams's then girlfriend, actress Parker Posey, former Hole and Smashing Pumpkins bass player Melissa Auf der Maur, and Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong. Brownsville Station is an American rock band from Michigan that was popular in the 1970s. Original members included Cub Koda (guitarist/vocalist), Mike Lutz (guitarist/vocalist), T.J. Chrome Division is a heavy metal band from Norway formed in 2004 by Shagrath, the lead vocalist of symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir. It is now considered a full band of Shagrath and the current lineup consists of him on rhythm guitar, along with Shady Blue as the vocalist, Mr Damage on lead guitar, and Tony White on drums. Little Scout are an independent band from Brisbane, Australia. They have released two EPs and one album, and have toured with established Australian bands Yves Klein Blue, The Holidays, Holly Throsby, Clare Bowditch and Cloud Control; and international bands Belle and Sebastian, The New Pornographers, Sharon Van Etten, School of Seven Bells and Camera Obscura. It was recorded in 2011 and produced by Jeff Bhasker. After signing to a new label, the band began to work on Some Nights for over nine months throughout 2011.

It was written by guitarist Rick Nielsen and lead vocalist Robin Zander, and produced by Tony Platt. The song failed to chart in the US. Despite the commercial failure of the song, the music video is notable for the use of American Sign Language.

The album features a collaboration with Luke Bryan and Eric Church on "The Only Way I Know". It was produced by Michael Knox and features Aldean's road band, with songs written by various songwriters.
Herzog is an indie rock band from Cleveland, Ohio formed in 2010. Their music has been described as "subtlety-free rock," and has been compared to Cloud Nothings, whose bassist, TJ Duke, formerly played in Herzog. The band's frontman, Nick Tolar, graduated from Saint Ignatius High School in 2000. They became well known when NPR chose the song "Silence" from their debut album Search as a song of the year in 2011. Their third album, Boys, was released on May 20, 2014. Dan Price, the band's drummer, has said that its music resembles Weezer and the other '90's bands he and his bandmates grew up listening to. He has also said that Boys is the best representation of his band's sound yet.
