The Cashel Extension Railway, or the Cashel Spur Line, was an old line connecting Cashel to the Dublin-Cork railway. [1] [2] It opened in 1904, with passenger and later freight services running until its closure in 1954. [1]

Cashel is a town in County Tipperary in Ireland. Its population was 4,422 in the 2016 census. The town gives its name to the ecclesiastical province of Cashel. It is part of the parish of Cashel and Rosegreen in the same archdiocese.
