CashTime Life was a South African Music Publishing Company and Entertainment Company, as well as a record label and Management Service. The CashTime Fam was a South African hip hop collective, consisted of South African hip hop musicians, performers and entertainers K.O, Ma-E, Maggz, Kid X, Smashis, AB Crazy and Ntukza. [1]

Nomuzi's Departure

Cashtime Life CEO Thabiso Khati announced in March 2016 that artist Nomuzi Mabena otherwise known as Moozlie, was no longer part of the Cashtime Roster. It was said that due to the differences between Nomuzi's vision and the label's vision for her development in her music career, the label opted to release her from her contract. Nomuzi departed on good terms with the label. [8]

"Caracara" is the second solo single by South African recording artist K.O, featuring Kid X, released by Cashtime Life on 3 March 2014. It was released on various digital platforms. A major crossover hit, "Caracara" peaked at number 6 on South Africa's official music chart. It was the first South African music video to surpass 1 million views on YouTube.

Ntokozo Mdluli, known professionally as K.O, is a South African rapper. He began his career as a member of Teargas, a hip hop group which released its debut album titled K'shubile K'bovu (2006), followed by Wafa Wafa (2008), Dark or Blue (2009) and last album Num8er Num8er (2012).

Rikhado Muziwendlovu Makhado, known professionally as Riky Rick, was a South African rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and entrepreneur. He was also the founder and owner of record label Cotton Club Records and a member of Boyz N Bucks and he's well known for his hit song Boss Zonke from his album Family Values.

Leslie Jonathan Mampe, Jr.,, better known by his stage name Da L.E.S, is a South African-American hip hop recording artist and record producer. He achieved early success with his band, Jozi, and is most known for his solo single, "Heaven", which was released in 2013, and features AKA, and Maggz.

Shane Patrick Hughes, known professionally as Shane Eagle, is a South African rapper and songwriter. He rose to fame in 2015, after finishing fourth place on the first season of the Vuzu rapping reality competition, The Hustle. After releasing several non-album singles, Eagle released his debut album Yellow in 2017, which features the gold-certified lead single, "Let It Flow". In October 2019, Eagle released his debut mixtape, Dark Moon Flower which boasted features from American rappers, Kota the friend, Santi, Caleborate, Dreamville's Lute and Bas along with the English band, The Hics and fellow South African rappers Nasty C and PatrickxxLee.

Deko Barbara-Jessica Wedi, professionally known as Rouge, is a Congolese-South African rapper, author, and television presenter. Her debut album The New Era Sessions, accompanied by a short film, received a South African Film and Television Award for Best Micro Budget Film.

MTV Base: SA's Hottest MCs is an annual segment that has aired on MTV Base at the end of every year since 2014.
