The Casino del Sol College All-Star Game was a post-season college football all-star game that was established in 2011 as part of the post-BCS events; the game was discontinued after its third playing, in 2013.
The game was first played at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona, in January 2011, when it was sponsored by Eastham Energy. The game then relocated to Tucson, Arizona, and was played at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium. [1] The game was sponsored by Casino Del Sol, a casino located in Tucson, for its final two years.

The Sun Bowl is a college football bowl game that has been played since 1935 in the southwestern United States at El Paso, Texas. Along with the Sugar Bowl and Orange Bowl, it is the second-oldest bowl game in the country, behind the Rose Bowl. Usually held near the end of December, games are played at the Sun Bowl stadium on the campus of the University of Texas at El Paso. Since 2011, it has featured teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and the Pac-12 Conference. This arrangement will continue through the 2025 season, with either Pac-12 schools, or Pac-12 "legacy schools" fulfilling previous Pac-12 bowl obligations for the next two seasons.

Tomey served as the head football coach at the University of Hawaii at Manoa (1977–1986), University of Arizona (1987–2000), and San Jose State University (2005–2009), compiling a career college football record of 183–145–7. His last full-time coaching position was as the special teams coach at Hawaii in 2011 under head coach Greg McMackin, who resigned after the season. Tomey was not retained by McMackin's successor, Norm Chow. Tomey served as a head coach of the victorious West team in the Casino Del Sol College All-Star Game on January 11, 2013, at Kino Stadium in Arizona.

FC Tucson is an American soccer club based in Tucson, Arizona that plays in USL League Two. The club has an amateur women's team, FC Tucson Women, that play in the WPSL.
