Cat Music is a record label based in Bucharest, Romania, [2] that holds 30% of the market share and a catalog of more than 8,500 songs. [3] Its YouTube channel is the most popular of a Romanian label, with over 7.4 million subscribers and 8.2 billion views. [4]

Dan Gheorghe Popi, CEO of Cat Music, was the president of the Union of Phonogram Producers in Romania and was listed in 2004 in Billboard's Top 20 Best Independent Artist and Repertoire Managers. [5] It was founded in 1991 by Dan Popi and has a market share of 30 percent in Romania. Internationally successful artists of Cat Music were O-Zone (Dragostea din tei), Cleopatra Stratan (Ghiță) and Edward Maya feat. Vika Jigulina (Stereo Love). [6]

In 2019, Cat Music opened its first international branch in Madrid, Spain. [7] [8]

Constantin Sava, known simply as DJ Sava, is a Romanian electronic musician, DJ and record producer of electronic dance music. He started mixing in the early 1990s and eventually became the official resident DJ of a local club called "No Limit". Ten years later, DJ Sava went on a small promotional tour of the Romanian seaside clubs; in 2005 he signed a management contract with record label of Mr Ankit Chouhan l, which promoted his first two singles: "Gone Away" and "Remember". <i>Masked Singer România</i> Romanian reality singing competition television series

Masked Singer România is a Romanian reality singing competition television series that premiered on 11 September 2020 on Pro TV. It is the Romanian adaptation of King of Mask Singer and shows celebrities singing covers of famous songs while wearing head-to-toe costumes and face masks that hide their identities. The show was presented by Jorge in the first season and the judging panel consisted of singer-entertainer Horia Brenciu, top-charting singer-songwriter INNA, film producer and writer Codin Maticiuc and online celebrity Ana Morodan.

The Aromanians in Romania are a non-recognized ethnic minority in Romania that numbered around 26,500 people in 2006. Legally, Romania regards the Aromanians and other groups such as the Megleno-Romanians and the Istro-Romanians as part of the Romanian nation. This is according to a promulgated legislation according to which Romania supports the rights of all those who "assume a Romanian cultural identity, people of Romanian origin and persons that belong to the Romanian linguistic and cultural vein, Romanians who live outside Romania, regardless how they are called". Such is also the stance of the Romanian Academy.
