Futsal is a football game played on a hard court, smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors. It has similarities to five-a-side football.

Futsal in Catalonia, Spain is managed by the Catalonia Federation of Futsal (FCFS), affiliated to European Union of Futsal in 2004 and recognised by the AMF in 2006.
The European Futsal Association (UEFS) is the international sporting association for futsal in Europe. Its name has been directly translated into many languages, and in English has been known as both the European Futsal Association and the European Union of Futsal. It was founded in 1985 in Madrid, Spain, then transferred to Moscow in Russia. UEFS was affiliated to the Asociación Mundial de Fútbol de Salón (AMF), and was the European governing body for futsal under the AMF until 2017. However UEFS was disaffiliated from AMF and Futsal European Federation was established to replace UEFS.
The AMF Futsal World Championships is the international championships for futsal, the indoor version of football organized by FIFUSA (1971–2002) and AMF (2003–present).
The Australia national futsal team represents Australia in men's international futsal. The team is controlled by the governing body for soccer in Australia, Football Federation Australia (FFA), which is currently a member of both the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the regional ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) since leaving the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) in 2006. The team's official nickname is the Futsalroos.

The World Futsal Association is the governing global body of futsal, and is headquartered in Asuncion, Paraguay. It was founded on 25 July 1971 as the International Futsal Federation (FIFUSA) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; on 1 December 2002, the organization was replaced, changed its name to Asociación Mundial de Futsal.
The Italian Football Sala Federation, also known by the acronym of FIFS, is the Italian sports federation that promotes in Italy the Football Sala, indoor soccer or futsal, played with the Rules of the Asociación Mundial de Futsal (AMF). It organizes national, international and friendly tournaments for national and club teams / representatives, amateur events and competitions for the disabled. He also organized the Topolino Trophy five times, in collaboration with The Walt Disney Company Italia, as well as the Mediterranean Cup and the Mundialito Cup. It is based in Milan and the current President is Axel Paderni, in office since July 2009. It is the only Italian sports federation recognized by the Asociación Mundial de Futsal (AMF) and, therefore, the only one authorized to use international trademarks and logos.
The Sweden national futsal team represents Sweden in international futsal competitions such as the FIFA Futsal World Cup and the European Championships and is controlled by the Swedish Football Association. The team played their first official match in December 2012 against France in Gothenburg. One month later, Sweden played their first competitive games and took three impressive victories in the qualification round for the 2014 European Championship.

The Italian National Football Indoor AMF is national Italian team of five-a-side football in the South American version, with the rules of the AMF. It is headed by the Federazione Italiana Football Sala and represents Italy in official or friendly competitions that are reserved for national selections.

The United States women's national futsal team represents the United States in international competitions. It is controlled by the United States Soccer Federation and affiliated with CONCACAF.
The AIFF Futsal Club Championship is the current annual futsal club competition of India hosted by the All India Football Federation (AIFF).
