Ceegaag is a town located in the Togdheer region of Somaliland. It has an elementary, middle, and secondary school. A maternal and infant health center was opened in the town in 2012. [1]
The town of Ceegaag is a Darod clan, with the Dhulbahante sub-clan its main inhabitants. the residents are primarily descend from the Hayaag sub-clan of the Dhulbahante. [2]

The Dhulbahante is a Somali clan family, part of the Harti clan which itself belongs to the largest Somali clan-family — the Darod. Cayn or Ayn is an administrative region that Puntland unilaterally declared to be established in the 2000s. However, there is Somaliland between Cayn and Puntland, and they do not directly border each other. Somaliland has legally designated this area as its territory as Buhoodle District.
