CASA (Center for Advanced Studies and the Arts) is a public consortium high school in Oak Park, Michigan offering students from surrounding schools afternoon classes in Advanced Placement (A.P.) classes; art, dance and music courses; and courses that might not have enough demand at a single high school (such as Japanese). Students are bussed to CASA from their "home schools" for two 55-minute class periods per day. [1]

Advanced Placement (AP) is a program in the United States and Canada created by the College Board which offers college-level curricula and examinations to high school students. American colleges and universities may grant placement and course credit to students who obtain high scores on the examinations. The AP curriculum for each of the various subjects is created for the College Board by a panel of experts and college-level educators in that field of study. For a high school course to have the designation, the course must be audited by the College Board to ascertain that it satisfies the AP curriculum. If the course is approved, the school may use the AP designation and the course will be publicly listed on the AP Course Ledger.

The participating schools are Berkley, Clawson, Hazel Park, Ferndale, Lamphere, Madison,Oak Park High Schools, Pontiac High School and International Technology Academy. [1]

Hazel Park High School is the #1 public high school in Hazel Park, Michigan. The school serves grades 9-12. It is a part of the Hazel Park Schools. It opened in 1929 and moved to its current location in 1961. The school has been named a Reward School by the Michigan Department of Education.

Lahser High School was a high school in Bloomfield Township, Oakland County, Michigan, near Bloomfield Hills and in Greater Detroit. It was a part of Bloomfield Hills Schools. The school was opened in 1967. At the time it had 200 students, and enrollment later reached almost 900 students. In 2010 the decision was made to merge the school into one school with local sister school Andover High School, on Andover's grounds. Lahser's athletic facilities will be kept for use by the new high school. The school is to become Bloomfield High School. The school received the International Baccalaureate program for the class of 2013 and beyond. The football program had five consecutive playoff-eligible seasons, 2002–2006, in both class 3 and class 2 MHSAA competition.

Oakland Community College

Oakland Community College (OCC) is a public community college in Oakland County, Michigan established June 8, 1964. With five campuses, it is one of the largest community colleges in Michigan and has the state's third largest undergraduate enrollment. In addition to the five campus locations the college has a district headquarters in Bloomfield Hills. Enrollment at the college over the 2016-2017 school year was 29,560. Oakland Community College has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission since 1971 and has a Carnegie Classification of Associate's Colleges: High Transfer-High Nontraditional. The Capital Area School for the Arts (CASA) is a 9th to 12th grade, public charter school located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, USA. The School began as an arts magnet school, which was founded in 2001 as a partnership between the Capital Area Intermediate Unit and Open Stage of Harrisburg. After first moving through several sites in downtown Harrisburg, the school now resides in its permanent location in the first floor of Strawberry Square. Capital Area School for the Arts Charter School utilizes a 21st-century, hybrid model of teaching and learning. The curriculum is designed to meet all of the Pennsylvania Core State Standards.
