Together with Franz Klammer, Toni Sailer, Jean Claude Killy, Karl Schranz and Stephan Eberharter, he is considered among the best downhill racers of all time. Atle Skårdal is a former World Cup alpine ski racer in the speed events of Downhill and Super-G. Since 2012, he is FIS racing director for women races, as successor of Kurt Hoch. A two-time world champion in the Super-G in 1996 and 1997, he was also the World Cup champion in Super-G in 1996. Skårdal competed at the 1988 and 1994 Winter Olympics, with a 6th place in the 1994 Super G his best finish.
Erik Schlopy is former World Cup alpine ski racer from the United States. Born in Buffalo, New York and raised in Hamburg, New York, he competed in three Olympics: 1994, 2002, and 2006. At the 1994 Olympics in Lillehammer, he placed 34th in Giant Slalom. At the 2002 Olympics, he placed 14th in Slalom, and at the 2006 Olympic Games, he placed 13th in Giant Slalom. He also won a bronze medal in the Giant Slalom at the 2003 World Championships. Schlopy also took two podium finishes in the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, won seven US national championship titles, and was a member of the United States Ski Team for 14 seasons.

Mathias Berthold is an Austrian former alpine skier who specialised in the slalom. He competed in the 1980s and 1990s. His career included twenty-three FIS World Cup starts and one FIS World Cup Podium. He subsequently became a coach, serving as coach of the German women's team for a period of seven years, culminating in the team winning three gold medals at the 2010 Winter Olympics. He was then head coach of the Austrian men's alpine skiing team for four seasons, leading them to two golds at the 2014 Winter Olympics, three overall Alpine Skiing World Cup titles and eight World Championship medals, before announcing his departure in April 2014. Shortly afterwards the German Ski Association announced that Berthold would rejoin them as head coach for their men's alpine team.
