Chad Rigetti is a Canadian physicist and entrepreneur who was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
From 1998 to 2002, Chad Rigetti studied physics at the University of Regina. He graduated the program with a Bachelor of Science degree in physics, made the dean's honor list. From From 2002 to 2009, Chad Rigetti studied applied physics at Yale University and graduated with a PhD. During his PhD Rigetti focused on the experimental and theoretical study of superconducting circuits for quantum computation, circuit fabrication with nanolithography, and quantum information theory. [1] According to his Google Scholar profile, Dr. Rigetti has authored more than 140 publications in the fields of quantum mechanics and quantum computing. [2]
After working at IBM in the area of quantum computing, [3] Rigetti founded the eponymous Rigetti Computing in 2013. He served as the company's chief executive officer from its founding in 2013 until 2022. [4]
Chad Rigetti is the co-founder and chief executive officer of Sygaldry. Sygaldry is building quantum-accelerated AI servers to exponentially speed up training and inference.
