Chagongwe is a town and administrative ward in Gairo District in the Morogoro Region of Tanzania, East Africa. [1] As of 2002, the population of the ward was 7,337. [2] There is a government-run dispensary and a primary school there. The only access to the town is over a single lane, unimproved road.
The ward consists of the town of Chagongwe and two villages, Mkobwe and Lufikiri. Each of these has denominated rural areas or small villages under them. [1]

Dodoma Region is one of Tanzania's 31 administrative regions. The regional capital is the city of Dodoma. According to the 2012 national census, the region had a population of 2,083,588, which was lower than the pre-census projection of 2,214,657. For 2002-2012, the region's 2.1 percent average annual population growth rate was the twentieth highest in the country. It was also the seventeenth most densely populated region with 50 people per square kilometer. The main tribes of the region are the Gogo, the Warangi, and the Wasandawi; Dodoma means "sunk" in the Gogo language.
Morogoro is a town with a population of 315,866 in the eastern part of Tanzania, 196 kilometres (122 mi) west of Dar es Salaam, the country's largest city and commercial centre, and 260 kilometres (160 mi) east of Dodoma, the country's capital city.
