A chang is a kind of Chinese ghost or zombie who lures others to their death. Most often,changs are the spirits of those killed by tigers,enslaved by the beast that killed them and unable to find release until they find a new victim for the tiger,who then takes their place. In some tellings,the chang performs a similar role after drowning. It was described in Tang Peizheng's Song-era Taiping Guangji . [1] [2]
The chang appears in the Chinese idioms "act the chang for the tiger" ( 為虎作倀 , 为虎作伥 , "to help evil people") and "wolves can't go without beis and tigers can't bite without changs" ( 狼無狽不行,虎無倀不噬 , 狼无狈不行,虎无伥不噬 , "evil people can't succeed on their own").
Liu Yongfu (1837–1917) was a Chinese warlord and commander of the celebrated Black Flag Army. Liu won fame as a Chinese patriot fighting against the French Empire in northern Vietnam (Tonkin) in the 1870s and early 1880s. During the Sino-French War,he established a close friendship with the Chinese statesman and general Tang Jingsong,and in 1895,he helped Tang organise resistance to the Japanese invasion of Taiwan. He succeeded Tang as the second and last president of the short-lived Republic of Formosa.

Di Zi Gui was written in the Qing dynasty during the reign of the Kangxi Emperor by Li Yuxiu. The book is based on the ancient teaching of the Chinese philosopher Confucius that emphasises the basic requisites for being a good person and guidelines for living in harmony with others. Chinese folklore features a rich variety of ghosts,monsters,and other supernatural creatures. According to traditional beliefs a ghost is the spirit form of a person who has died. Ghosts are typically malevolent and will cause harm to the living if provoked. Many Chinese folk beliefs about ghosts have been adopted into the mythologies and folklore of neighboring East Asian cultures,notably Japan,Korea,and Vietnam. Beliefs about ghosts are closely associated with Chinese ancestor worship,where much have been incorporated into Buddhism and in turn influenced and created uniquely Chinese Buddhist beliefs about the supernatural.
Fengdu Ghost City is a large complex of shrines,temples and monasteries dedicated to the afterlife located on the Ming mountain,in Fengdu County,Chongqing municipality,China. It is situated about 170 kilometres (110 mi) downstream from Chongqing on the north bank of the Yangtze River.
Tiger-head shoes are an example of traditional Chinese folk handicraft used as footwear for children. Their name comes from the toe cap,which looks like the head of a tiger. In the North of China,people also call them cat-head shoes. In Chinese culture,tigers are regarded as auspicious;people embroider the head and the upper of the shoes with tiger or tiger-head patterns,in the hope that their children will become as robust and dynamic as tigers. Also,the vivid image of tiger-head pattern was thought to expel evil spirits to protect their children from diseases and disasters. It is a complicated work to make tiger-head shoes,there are many delicate stitch work such as embroidery,or weaving simply on the head of the shoes. The vamp is mainly coloured in red and yellow,and residents usually use thick lines to draw the outline of the mouth,eyebrow,nose and the eyes of the tiger to express its power in an exaggerated way.
Zhong Hui's Rebellion was a rebellion in March 264 led by Zhong Hui,a general of the state of Cao Wei,against the Wei regent,Sima Zhao. Zhong Hui had support from Jiang Wei,a general from the former state of Shu Han,which was conquered by Wei forces just before the rebellion started. Zhong Hui,as one of the Wei commanders in the Conquest of Shu by Wei,had considered himself capable enough to overcome the Wei regime and establish his own kingdom in the newly conquered Shu territory. The rebellion ended when some Wei officers and soldiers,who were unwilling to join Zhong Hui,started a mutiny against him and killed him and Jiang Wei.

In 2008,he won the “Best Original Song”in the 45th Golden Horse Awards with the theme song for the movie "Cape No. 7 海角七號". In 2013,Jolin Tsai’s “The Great Artist 大藝術家",which he wrote the lyrics for,won the “Song of the Year”in the 24th Golden Melody Awards.
