Shetani are spirits of East African mythology and popular belief. Mostly malevolent, and found in many different forms and different types with different powers, shetani are a popular subject of carved artwork, especially by the Makonde people of Tanzania, Mozambique, and Kenya. Physically, shetani of various types appear as distorted human and animal figures.
The name Makonde art refers to East African sculptures or, less frequently, to modern paintings created by craftspeople or artists belonging to the Makonde people of northern Mozambique and southern Tanzania, separated by the Ruvuma river. Art historians, dealers and collectors have created this genre of African art, that can be subdivided into African traditional artifacts or modern artistic works. This genre can be traced back to the 1930s, when the first documented exhibition of Makonde art was held at the Centro Cultural dos Novos in Mozambique.

Winnie Siu Davies is a Hong Kong-born artist specialising in sculpture, oil painting, Chinese painting and Chinese calligraphy. Later, she moved to Italy to study the art of marble sculpture. Her works have been exhibited locally and internationally in places such as Hong Kong University Museum, Macau, Mainland China, Taiwan, Italy and Canada. At present, she is a founding president of the studio Joy Art Club and President of Hong Kong Oil Painters' Guild (HKOPG) and Founding Chairman of Club 4 Art.

East Lake Park, also known as Donghu Park, is a public urban park in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. The park is located in Luohu District, with Mount Wutong standing in the east, Yanhe Road in the west, Shensha Road in the south, Aiguo Road in the north, covering an area of 1,525,900-square-metre (16,425,000 sq ft). The park was opened in 1966, incorporating recreational activities and tourism. In April 1991 the park was designated as a "provincial-level scenic spot" by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government.

Meixihu Subdistrict is a subdistrict of Yuelu District in Changsha, Hunan, China. It was formed from a part of Tianding Township in April 2007. The subdistrict has an area of 20.2 square kilometres (7.8 sq mi) with more than households of 29,359 and a permanent residential population of about 20,000. As of 2017, the subdistrict has two villages and six communities under its jurisdiction. Its seat is Jiashun Community (嘉顺社区). The subdistrict is the home and the core zone of Xiangjiang New Area.
