Changwon LG Sakers are a basketball team located in the city of Changwon in South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. They play in the Korean Basketball League, and their home arena is Changwon Gymnasium which has a capacity for approximately 6,000 people. The team's main sponsor is LG Electronics.
The professional team was established in 1997 under the name Gyeongnam LG Sakers. The name was changed to the Changwon LG Sakers after the first season.
LG Sakers has yet to win a KBL championship. The closest they came was in the 2000–01 season, when they finished as runners-up, losing to Suwon Samsung Thunders in the finals.

The Korean Basketball League or simply KBL is a professional men's basketball league in South Korea which was established in 1997. The league consists of ten teams and each team plays a total of 54 games in the regular season.
The South Korea men's national basketball team represents South Korea in international basketball competitions. They are administered by the Korea Basketball Association.
Moon Tae-jong is a South Korean former professional basketball player at the small forward position. He is 1.99 m in height. Moon played at the 2011 FIBA Asia Championship games, representing South Korea. He was head basketball coach at Seaforth High School in Pittsboro, North Carolina until 2024.
Suwon KT Sonicboom is a professional basketball club based in Suwon, South Korea which plays in the Korean Basketball League. Their home games are played at the Suwon KT Sonicboom Arena. Founded in 1997, the team was initially based in Gwangju and was later relocated to Yeosu, Busan and Suwon, respectively.

Cho Sung-won is a South Korean basketball coach, former commentator and retired player. His twelve-year playing career began during the last years of the amateur era and coincided with the establishment of the Korean Basketball League. As a coach, he is one of the rare few who have coached both men's and women's teams at both the professional and collegiate levels. He was most recently head coach of Changwon LG Sakers.
