Channel i Music Awards is a musical award annually given by Channel i. It has been given every year from 2006.

On 1 October 2017, The award's 12th edition took place where musicians were awarded in 18 categories. Khurshid Alam was awarded lifetime achievement award and Ali Hossain, Alauddin Ali and Alam Khan were awarded with special honor for their lifetime contribution to music. [1] In 15th channel i music awards 2020, popular pop singer Ferdous Wahid [2] [3] awarded lifetime achievement award. Popular folk singer Sayera Reza [4] [5] was awarded as the best folk singer for the song "Dosh Dibona" penned by Anurup Aich and composed by JK Majlish [6] and popular music director JK Majlish [7] was awarded as the best music director (modern) in the same year, for the song "Baroti Mashe" from the album Pagli Suraiya sang by Sania Sultana Liza.[ citation needed ]

She was the recipient of the Ekushey Padak in 1992 and Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for the film Chhutir Phande (1990).

Abdul Alim was a Bangladeshi folk singer. He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer in 1975 for playback in Sujan Sakhi. He was posthumously awarded the Ekushey Padak in 1977 and Independence Day Award in 1997 by the Government of Bangladesh.

Zulfiqer Russell is a Bangladeshi lyricist and journalist. He is currently the editor of the online news site, The Bangla Tribune. He was the winner of the Channel i Music Awards in 2008, 2010, 2013 and 2022 and also received the Mirchi Music Awards (Bangla) award for the Song of the Year in the Modern Song category for, "Shabuj Chilo". On 2020 he was awarded CJFB Performance Award 2019 as best lyricist. He had also worked with renowned Indian singers and composers including Grammy and Academy Award (Oscar) winner musician A. R. Rahman. He wrote the official theme song 'Ektai Achhe Desh' of the Golden Jubilee of Bangladesh Independence sang by fifty renowned singers of Bangladesh.

Fahmida Nabi is a Bangladeshi singer. She usually vocalizes classical and modern-style songs. She also sang songs of Rabindra Sangeet and Nazrul Geeti genre. She won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for her performance in the film Aha! (2007). She also received Channel i Performance Award (2008) and the Meril-Prothom Alo Award (2008). She served as a judge for the reality television music show CloseUp 1. She is an ambassador of Bangladesh Center for Communication Programs (BCCP).

Ek Cup Cha (Bengali: এক কাপ চা) is a 2014 Bangladeshi romantic film directed by Noyeem Imtiaz Neyamul. It stars Ferdous Ahmed and Moushumi in the central roles, alongside Omar Sani, Rituparna Sengupta, father and daughter duo Alamgir and Akhi Alamgir, and Humayun Faridi. It is Faridi's final film, he died before it was released.

Hridoyer Kotha is a Bangladeshi film released on 18 October 2006 directed by S.A. Haque Alik. Riaz produced the movie, the first time in his career. Kazi Riton is the associate producer of this movie Hridoyer Kotha. Notable songs in the film include "Valobasbo Bashbo Re" and "Jay Din Jay Ekaki".

Alauddin Ali was a Bangladeshi music composer. He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Music Director eight times for the films Golapi Ekhon Traine (1978), Sundori (1979), Koshai (1980), Jogajog (1988) and Lakhe Ekta (1990). He won the Best Music Composer award for the film Laal Doriya (2002) and the Best Lyrics award for Premik (1985). Moreover, he won the Ifad Film Club Award and the Bachsas Award in the category of Best Music Director. He directed music for more than 300 films.

Koshai is a 1980 Bangladeshi film directed by Amjad Hossain. It stars Rozina, Bobita, Alamgir, Kabari, and Jashim. It won four National Film Awards: Best Supporting Actress (Rozina), Best Music Director, Best Male Playback Singer, and Best Female Playback Singer.

Ali Hossain was a Bangladeshi music composer. He was notable for the songs like "Osru Diye Lekha E Gaan", and "Holud Bato Mendi Bato". He has composed music for 42 films in his career. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Music Director for his music direction in the 1989 film Byathar Daan. He was honored at 12th Channel-i Music Awards (2017) for his contribution to Bangladeshi music.

Md. Khurshid Alam is a Bangladeshi playback singer. His notable songs include Chumki Choleche Eka Pothe, Bondi Pakhir Moto, Maa Go Maa, Miss Lanka, Ajke Na Hoi Bhalobasho, Dheere Dheere Chol Ghora, Chupi Chupi Bolo Keu Jeney Jabe and Jodi Bou Shajo Go. His career has spanned more than four decades, in which he sang over 300 songs. He was conferred the Ekushey Padak from the Government of Bangladesh in 2018 and the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 12th Channel i Music Awards (2017) for his contribution to Bangladeshi film music. He also received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Gaan e Gaan e Gunijon Shongbordhona, by Citibank NA in 2019.

Somnur Monir Konal is a Bangladeshi singer and television host who is best known as a playback singer for Bangladeshi films. She debuted in the entertainment industry by winning the musical television reality show Channel i Shera Kontho in 2009. Since then she has recorded songs for dozens of films, hosted various television shows, and judged the 2019 edition of children's musical reality show Ganer Raja. As of 2022, she has sung for films with more than 300 songs.

Md. Sekandar Badsha Bulbul is a Bangladeshi musician of modern and folk genre.

Praner Manush is a 2003 Bangladeshi romantic drama film. The film is directed by Amjad Hossain and produced by Azizul Haque Putu. story written by Ali Hassan, screenplay and dialogue by Amjad Hossain himself. It feature Shakib Khan, Shabnur and Ferdous Ahmed.

I Love You is a 2012 Bangladeshi romantic film directed by Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar and co-produced with Goyas Miah Raaj. It features an ensemble cast including Shakib Khan, Purnima, Nirob, Racy, Ilias Kanchan, Omar Sani, Shahnaz, Shahidul Alam Sachchu, Afzal Sharif and Gulshan Ara Ahmed.
