Chantelle Nicholson is a New Zealand chef who has resided in London since 2004. Chef owner of Apricity, on Duke Street in Mayfair and All's Well (formerly of Mare St, E8) and former chef owner of Tredwells (recipient of a green Michelin star for its efforts towards sustainability) and former Group Operations Director for Marcus Wareing Restaurants. In July 2016 Nicholson won Manager of the Year award at the 2016 The Catey Awards. [2] [3] In October 2016 she won Woman of the Year at the inaugural The Caterer Shine Awards. [4]

Nicholson is co-author of Marcus Wareing's cook books The Gilbert Scott book of British food [5] (selected as the Telegraph "Cookbook of the week" [6] ), Nutmeg and Custard, Marcus at Home , New Classics and Marcus Everyday. [7] She did dish development and consulting on the 2015 film Burnt . [8] In 2019 Nicholson published Planted: a chef's show-stopping vegan recipes, described in Vogue as "the ultimate cookbook for food-obsessed vegans". [9] She is neither vegan nor vegetarian but has said that "The whole reason I did a plant-based recipe book was that I liked the challenge ... When I looked around to find resources for plant-based cooking at a restaurant level, there were hardly any." [10]

Nicholson's charitable causes include cooking for fundraising dinners for Children of the Mountain, [11] Action Against Hunger, [12] The Felix Project, [13] Street Smart, School Food Matters and The Calthorpe Project.

Simon Boyle is a British chef, author and social entrepreneur working in Britain. Boyle became a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts in 2017. In 2020 he was awarded special recognition by the Basque Culinary World Prize for his relief work in London during the COVID-19 crisis.

<i>Ten Talents</i> (cookbook) Vegan cookbook, first published 1968

Ten Talents is a vegetarian and vegan cookbook originally published in 1968 by Rosalie Hurd and Frank J. Hurd. At the time, it was one of the few resources for vegetarian and vegan cooks. The cookbook promotes Christian vegetarianism and a Bible-based diet, in keeping with teachings of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. By 1991, the 750-recipe cookbook was entering its 44th printing and had sold more than 250,000 copies. An expanded edition with more than 1,000 recipes was issued in 2012.

Jackie Kearney is a British cook specialising in vegetarian and vegan street food, drawing especially from Asian cuisine. Kearney works as a chef and food development consultant, as well as running The Hungry Gecko dining club. She has a food trailer called Barbarella, and has published several vegan cookbooks.

Philip Howard is a South African-British chef, chef patron, and restaurateur. He gained cooking skills while working under Marco Pierre White at Harveys and Simon Hopkinson at Bibendum. Howard and White's then-business partner Nigel Platts-Martin opened London restaurant The Square in December 1991, despite both of their inexperience in operating a restaurant at the time.

<i>Vegetable Kingdom</i> 2020 vegan cookbook by Bryant Terry

Vegetable Kingdom: The Abundant World of Vegan Recipes, often shortened to Vegetable Kingdom, is a 2020 cookbook by Bryant Terry. It received positive reviews and won an NAACP Image Award. Recipes are based on the cuisines of the African diaspora. The book provides a song pairing for each dish.
