Claude M'Barali, professionally known as MC Solaar, is a French rapper of Senegalese and Chadian origin. He is one of France's most famous and influential hip hop artists. Some even consider him as the best French rapper of all time.
Qui sème le vent récolte le tempo is French rapper MC Solaar's first album. The title is a pun on the French version of the Biblical proverb "qui sème le vent récolte la tempête". The song samples Lou Donaldson's One Cylinder. It was released in 1991 and gained considerable success.

The album gained exposure in the United States after "La Belle et le Bad Boy" was heard on an episode of Sex and the City. Musically, the album features more R&B themes featuring a layering of a female voice on a few tracks, and it is especially notable and true to the MC Solaar character which is strong emotion expressed in the delivery and lyrics. The album pays tribute to Senegal, where he spent his childhood. He uses the album to condemn the role of the World Bank in developing nations. This is most apparent on the track "Les Colonies," where the lyrics state, "Dans cette ère de négoce où ne vivent que les big boss/ Rentabilité - instabilité - imbécillité/ N'ont fait qu'augmenter les taux de mortalité," meaning, "In this era of trade where only the big bosses live/ Profitability - instability - imbecility/ Have done nothing but increase rates of mortality," referring to policies of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank.
"Bouge de là" is a song by MC Solaar. This was his first single from his album Qui sème le vent récolte le tempo, and reached #22 on French SNEP Singles Chart in September 1991. It was also the second hip hop hit in France, after Benny B's "Vous êtes fous!" in 1990, although it was considered by the French newspaper Le Figaro as the first one. The instrumental was used by US rapper Masta Ace in "Me & The Biz".

Damien Sargue is a French pop singer known for his performance of Romeo in Gérard Presgurvic's Roméo et Juliette, de la Haine à l'Amour. A French native, he grew up in Caen, Normandy, France with his mother Miriam, his father Pierre, brother Julien, and his sisters Julie and Sarah, until his parents divorced when he was only a year old. When he was little boy he wanted to practice karate but his mom registered him in song lessons in Caen Ecole des Variétés de Caen. In 2009 Damien Sargue married his Romeo and Juliette co-star Joy Esther. The couple divorced in 2010. In 2017 he married dancer Emily Surde, who was also in Romeo and Juliette dance troupe, with whom he has daughter Billie-Rose, born in 2014.
