The Nebraska Cornhuskers are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. The university is a member of the Big Ten Conference and competes in NCAA Division I, fielding twenty-four varsity teams in fifteen sports. Nineteen of these teams participate in the Big Ten, while rifle is a member of the single-sport Patriot Rifle Conference and beach volleyball and bowling compete as independents. The Cornhuskers have two official mascots, Herbie Husker and Lil' Red.

Hugh Donald McCutcheon, a native of Christchurch, New Zealand, is a former volleyball coach. He previously coached the US men's and women's national volleyball team, and was the head coach for the University of Minnesota's women's volleyball team from 2012 to 2022. Starting in January 2023, McCutcheon is the assistant athletics director/sport development coach at Minnesota, after announcing his resignation from the volleyball team at the conclusion of the 2022 season.

Nicole Marie Davis is a retired American indoor volleyball player and mindset coach at Compete To Create, founded by Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll and high performance psychologist, Michael Gervais. Nicole last played professionally for Le Cannet Rocheville in France and retired in 2015. She is 5'4" (167 cm) and played the libero position. She played for Fenerbahçe Women's Volleyball team for the 2007 season and wore the number 1 jersey. She was the first foreign-born libero to play in the Turkish league and led her team to a second-place finish. Davis represented the United States at the 2008 Olympics and 2012 Olympics, helping Team USA to a silver medal both times. She was also part of the US team that won the 2014 World Championships.
Susan Jean "Sue" Woodstra is an American retired volleyball coach and player. As a player, she won a silver medal with the United States women's national volleyball team at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
Robyn Mokihana Ah Mow is an American indoor volleyball coach and former player. She is the head coach of the Hawaii Rainbow Wahine volleyball team. She was a setter on the USA national team and played at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, the 2004 Athens Olympics, and at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, helping Team USA to a silver medal. She worked as an assistant coach at the University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine volleyball team from 2011-2015 and was named Head Coach in 2017 after Dave Shoji's retirement. She has also served as a club coach at Na Keiki Mau Loa Volleyball Club.
Jenny Lynn Bindon is an American-born association football coach and former goalkeeper who represented New Zealand at international level. She played 77 full internationals in between 2004 and 2010. She is currently an assistant coach of the London City Lionesses.
Desiree Rose Marie Scott is a retired Canadian professional soccer player who most recently played as a midfielder for the Kansas City Current of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) and the Canada national team. Nicknamed "the destroyer", she won gold at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, which was her third Olympic medal following bronze medals in 2012 in London and in 2016 in Rio.

Courtney Lynn Thompson is an American former professional volleyball player who played as a setter for the United States women's national volleyball team. She won the 2005 national championship while playing for the University of Washington, and she set an NCAA record in career assists per game. Thompson won gold with the national team at the 2014 World Championship, silver at the 2012 London Summer Olympics, and bronze at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
Tammy Leibl is a retired American female indoor volleyball and beach volleyball player. She played college volleyball at Arizona State University and won the bronze medal with the U.S. national team at the 1992 Summer Olympics.

John Craig Skinner, known as Craig Skinner, is an American collegiate women's volleyball head coach at the University of Kentucky. He is the winningest coach in Kentucky volleyball history and led Kentucky to their first-ever NCAA volleyball national championship in 2020.
Erin Virtue is an American volleyball head coach at Michigan and assistant coach for the United States women's national volleyball team.
