The Nebraska Cornhuskers are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. The university is a member of the Big Ten Conference, and the Cornhuskers compete in NCAA Division I, fielding 22 varsity teams in 15 sports. Nineteen of these teams participate in the Big Ten, while rifle is a member of the single-sport Great America Rifle Conference and beach volleyball and bowling compete as independents.

He went on to win the gold medal again at the 1996 Olympic Games, the first Olympic competition to feature beach volleyball. He is the only player to have won Olympic gold medals in both the indoor and beach volleyball categories. He played college volleyball for the UCLA Bruins, where his teams won three national championships under head coach Al Scates.
Kimberley Yvette "Kim" Oden is a former USA National volleyball player. She was part of the United States women's national volleyball team.
Stacy Denise Sykora is a retired American volleyball player. She was a two-time All-American at Texas A&M University and she competed in both the 2000 and the 2004 Olympics as part of the U.S. women's national team. She made her third Olympic appearance at the 2008 Olympics, helping Team USA to a silver medal.
Nell Fortner is the current women's college basketball coach at Georgia Tech. She is most well known for leading the 2000 Olympics team to a gold medal. She has received numerous awards including the 1997 National Coach of the Year, the 2000 USA Basketball Coach of the Year and the 2008 SEC Coach of the Year. In April 2018, she was inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame.
Hugh Donald McCutcheon, a native of Christchurch, New Zealand, is the former head coach of the US men's national volleyball team, the former head coach of the US women's national volleyball team, and the current head coach of the University of Minnesota's women's volleyball team.

Nicole last played professionally for Le Cannet Rocheville in France and retired in 2015. She is 5'4" (167 cm) and played the libero position. She played for Fenerbahçe Women's Volleyball team for the 2007 season and wore the number 1 jersey. She was the first foreign-born libero to play in the Turkish league and led her team to a second-place finish. Davis represented the United States at the 2008 Olympics and 2012 Olympics, helping Team USA to a silver medal both times. She was also part of the US team that won the 2014 World Championships.
Lindsey Napela Berg is an American volleyball player who plays for Fenerbahçe Istanbul in Turkey. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and played volleyball for the University of Minnesota. She played in three Olympic Games for the United States national team, winning two silver medals.
Susan Jean "Sue" Woodstra is an American retired female volleyball player and coach who won the silver medal with the USA National Women's Team at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California.
Robyn Mokihana Ah Mow-Santos is the head coach of the Hawaii Rainbow Wahine volleyball team and a former American indoor volleyball player. She is a setter on the USA national team and played at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, the 2004 Athens Olympics, and also played at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, helping Team USA to a silver medal. She worked as an assistant coach at the University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine volleyball team until 2016, the 2015 season being most notable. And additionally, as of 2017, she’s head coaching a 15’s team at Na Keiki Mau Loa Volleyball Club.
Debbie Green-Vargas is a former American volleyball player and coach. She is regarded as the greatest American women's volleyball setter of all time. Green-Vargas was a member of the U.S. National Team and won the silver medal at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.
Jenny Lynn Bindon is an American-born association football coach and former goalkeeper who represented New Zealand at international level. She played 77 full internationals in between 2004 and 2010. She currently serves as the head coach of the Loyola Marymount University (LMU) women's soccer team.
Jordan Quinn Larson is an American indoor volleyball player, a member of the United States women's national volleyball team and Turkey club Eczacıbaşı VitrA. She was a silver medalist of the 2012 Olympic Games, a bronze medalist of the 2016 Olympic Games, and a gold medalist of the 2014 World Championship. She was a two-time AVCA First Team All-American while playing college volleyball at Nebraska.
Diane Madl is an American former field hockey player who competed in the 1996 Summer Olympics. She was a coach for Providence College.

She is the current women's volleyball head coach at the University of Mississippi.

Patty Dowdell is a retired volleyball player who primarily was on the United States women's national volleyball team from 1974 to 1980. With the national team, Dowdell and the United States finished in seventh at the 1977 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup and fifth at the 1978 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship. After playing at the 1979 Pan American Games, Dowdell was part of the American volleyball team that boycotted the 1980 Summer Olympics. She resumed playing on the national team in the early 1980s and did not play any games at the 1984 Summer Olympics. Outside of the national team, Dowdell played for the Dallas Belles and Chicago Breeze in the Major League Volleyball during the late 1980s.
