Charles A. Johnson (born 1930/1931) is a former judge of the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals,serving from 1989 to 2014.
Johnson received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oklahoma and his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1955. [2]
He was active in the Reserve component of the U.S. Air Force,retiring as a Colonel,USAFR,having received the Distinguished Service Medal and the Legion of Merit. After being released from active duty in the United States Air Force,Johnson was a senior law partner with the law firm of Phipps,Johnson,Holmes &Hermanson. [2]
On October 31,1989,he was appointed as a judge of the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals by governor Henry Bellmon to fill the unexpired term of judge Hez J. Bussey,serving for District 2. [2] He had served as the court's presiding judge three times. [1] He retired from the bench on August 1,2014,after serving for 25 years. [3] [4]
Johnson wrote the opinion in Bechtel vs State "which held that expert testimony about the Battered Woman Syndrome is admissible in Oklahoma courts." [5] [6] He recused himself on an appeal arguing a battered woman defense,a case for April Wilkens, who shot and killed her abuser,Terry Carlton,because Johnson was a family friend of the victim's family,but not for her following appeals. Johnson is the past president of the Kay County Bar Association,and operated a private law practice before he was appointed to the criminal appeals court. In 1993 was named the state's outstanding appellate judge by the Oklahoma Trial Lawyers Association. [1]
In 2014,he was recognized with the Cleveland County Bar Association service award. [8] Former Governor,Mary Fallin,appointed Judge Rob Hudson from Guthrie,Oklahoma to fill Johnson's vacancy on March 12,2015. [9]

Robert E. Lavender was an American judge who served as Justice of the Oklahoma Supreme Court,serving from 1965 until 2007. He served as the Court's Chief Justice from 1979 to 1981. Lavender died on March 23,2020 at the age of 93.

Jerry L. Goodman was born April 17,1939 in Mangum,Oklahoma. He was a judge on the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals,an intermediate appellate court in the state of Oklahoma,for twenty-five years. Appointed to the court by Governor David Walters on July 26,1994,Goodman was retained by voters in 1996,2002,and 2008. On November 4,2014 voters returned him for a full term ending January 10,2021,with a favorable vote of 60.4 percent. Judge Goodman was elected chief judge of the court for a one-year term in 2016.

Wilson was honored by many awards in her lifetime including induction into the Oklahoma Women's Hall of Fame,the Oklahoma Hall of Fame and was named Appellate Judge of the Year in both 1986 and 1989.

Dana Lynn Kuehn is an American attorney and judge from Tulsa,Oklahoma who has served on the Supreme Court of Oklahoma since 2021;she was appointed by Governor Kevin Stitt on July 26,2021. Kuehn had previously been a Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals Judge after her appointment by the Governor of Oklahoma Mary Fallin on October 2,2017. Kuehn is the first woman to serve on both of the state's high courts,the Oklahoma Supreme Court and the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals.
Carlene Clancy Smith is a retired judge from Oklahoma. Her last position was as a justice of the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals (OCCA). She was appointed on September 13,2010 by Oklahoma Supreme Court Chief Justice James E. Edmondson to replace the recently-retired Justice Charles Chapel. She retired on June 17,2017. She served as the presiding judge of the court for a two-year term starting on January 1,2015.
