Wisconsin is a state in the upper Midwestern United States. Wisconsin is the 25th-largest state by land area and the 20th-most populous. It is bordered by Minnesota to the west, Iowa to the southwest, Illinois to the south, Lake Michigan to the east, Michigan to the northeast, and Lake Superior to the north.

The 2022 Milwaukee mayoral special election was held on April 5, 2022, to elect the mayor of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While the next regularly-scheduled date for a Milwaukee mayoral election is in 2024, incumbent mayor Tom Barrett resigned to serve as U.S. Ambassador to Luxembourg. The special election was the first open race for mayor of the city since 2004.
Harriet L. Cramer was an American journalist. Starting off as a typesetter and proofreader at The Evening Wisconsin, a daily newspaper published in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she went on to become its editor and publisher. She was also the president of The Evening Wisconsin Company, which, in addition to publishing one of the "Golden Dozen" of American newspaeprs, also conducted an extensive job printing department. Cramer was a benefactor of Marquette University; Cramer Hall is named in her honor.
