Charles Brewer (born October 15, 1969, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), is a retired professional boxer in the Super Middleweight (168lb) division.

Contents

Known as "The Hatchet", Brewer was 14–3 as an amateur. He turned professional in 1989 and in 1997 won the Vacant IBF Super Middleweight Title with a TKO over Gary Ballard. He defended the title three times including a knockout win over Herol Graham, before losing the belt to Sven Ottke in a split decision. In a 2000 rematch, he lost another split decision to Ottke.

In 2002, he fought WBO Super Middleweight Title holder and future hall of famer Joe Calzaghe in Cardiff but lost by a wide margin. His last shot at the title came in 2004 when he took on WBO Super Middleweight Interim Title holder Mario Veit but was TKO'd in the 9th round. Brewer last fought in April 2005.

Sven Ottke German boxer

Sven Ottke is a German former professional boxer who competed from 1997 to 2004. He was a unified super-middleweight world champion, having held the IBF title from 1998 to 2004, and the WBA (Unified) title from 2003 to 2004. With 21 successful title defences, Ottke was the fourth European boxer to retire as an undefeated world champion, after Jack McAuliffe, Terry Marsh, and Michael Loewe; Joe Calzaghe later became the fifth. Ottke defended the title against 20 boxers, a record in the super-middleweight division shared with Joe Calzaghe. As an amateur, Ottke won a bronze medal in the middleweight division at the 1989 World Championships.

Simon Brown is a former professional boxer. Sergey Shtikhlits, best known as Robert Stieglitz, is a German former professional boxer who competed from 2001 to 2017. He held the WBO super-middleweight title twice between 2009 and 2014, and the European light-heavyweight title from 2016 to 2017. Stieglitz also challenged twice for world titles in 2007 and 2015.
