Charles Landry (born June 3, 1991) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing with the Nottingham Panthers of the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL).

Defence in ice hockey is a player position whose primary responsibility is to prevent the opposing team from scoring. They are often referred to as defencemen, D, D-men or blueliners. They were once called cover-point. A good defenceman is both strong in defensive and offensive play and for defenceman pairing also need to be good at defending and attacking.

Landry played four seasons (2007 – 2011) of major junior hockey in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), registering 96 points and 159 penalty minutes in 234 games played.

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League is one of the three major junior ice hockey leagues which constitute the Canadian Hockey League. The league includes teams in the provinces of Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. The current president of the QMJHL is Gilles Courteau.

On September 15, 2010, the Tampa Bay Lightning signed Landry as a free agent to a three-year entry level contract, [1] but he did not play his first professional game until after the conclusion of his 2010–11 QMJHL season with the Lightning's American Hockey League affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals.

The playoffs featured 16 teams chasing the President's Cup, beginning on March 24, 2011, and ending with the Saint John Sea Dogs capturing the title on May 15, 2011.

The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league based in the United States and Canada that serves as the primary developmental league for the National Hockey League (NHL). Since the 2010–11 season, every team in the league has an affiliation agreement with one NHL team. When NHL teams do not have an AHL affiliate, players are assigned to AHL teams affiliated with other NHL teams. Twenty-seven AHL teams are located in the United States and the remaining four are in Canada. The league offices are located in Springfield, Massachusetts, and its current president is David Andrews.

On July 15, 2014, the Nottingham Panthers of the UK's EIHL announced that Landry would be joining them for their upcoming campaign on a one-year deal. [2]
