Charles Osa Igbinovia (born 20 November 1971), [1] commonly known as Charles Novia, is a Nigerian film director, producer, screenwriter, actor, social commentator and essayist. Born and raised in Benin City, the capital of Edo State, Nigeria, Novia is known for films such as Missing Angel (2004), Caught in The Middle and Alan Poza (2013). [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] In 2014, he was chosen as part of the Nigerian team to screen Nollywood films for Best Foreign language category of the Academy Awards by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) is an annual film festival that takes place in Nigeria. It was founded in 2010 with its Inaugural edition in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. AFRIFF was founded by Chioma Ude a passionate film buff and entrepreneur, The event normally spans through a week and it includes award shows and film training classes. Keith Shiri, the founder/director of Africa at the Pictures is the artistic director of the festival. AFRIFF gives out honors in categories such Feature, Documentary, Short, Animation, and Students Short, as well as awards and prizes for Directing, Acting, and Screenplay. There are additional special awards for Audience Choice and an Outstanding Film Jury Award.

Mildred Okwo is a Nigerian film director and producer. She was nominated for Best Director award at the 4th Africa Movie Academy Awards. Ashley Chijioke Nwosu was a Nigerian actor. He was born on the 21st of November 1954 in Abia State, Umuigu Oboro in present-day Ikwuano Local Government Area in the southeastern region of Nigeria and he died on 21 April 2011 at a Military Hospital at Yaba, Lagos State, in the western region of Nigeria. He attended Umuigu Central Primary School in Ikwuano, Abia State where he got his First School Leaving Certificate. He proceeded to Oboro Secondary School at Ikwuano, Abia State where he got his West African Senior School Certificate.
