Charlotte Englebert (born 20 May 2001) [1] is a Belgian field hockey player, who plays as a midfielder. [2]

Career

Club hockey

In the Belgian Hockey League, Englebert plays club hockey for the Royal Racing Club. [3] [2]

National teams

Under–18

In 2018, Charlotte Englebert was a member of the Belgium U–18 team at the EuroHockey Youth Championship in Santander. [4] At the tournament, Belgium finished in second place, taking home silver. [5]

Under–21

Following her debut for the Under–18 side in 2018, Englebert appeared in the national Under–21 in 2019. She represented the team at the EuroHockey Junior Championship in Valencia. The team finished fourth, qualifying for the 2021 FIH Junior World Cup. [6] [7]

In July 2022, she made her last appearance with the national Under–21. She represented the team at the EuroHockey Junior Championship in Ghent, Belgium. The team finished second, qualifying for the 2023 FIH Junior World Cup.

Red Panthers

Charlotte Englebert made her debut for the Belgium 'Red Panthers' in 2018 during a test series against the United States in Lancaster. [8]

Indian Hockey League

During the 2024-2025 season, Englebert was signed by the Soorma Hockey Club for 16 lakh (1.6 million Indian rupees/18.000 euros) in the Hockey India League (HIL). This edition marks the much-anticipated return of the HIL, featuring both men’s and women’s tournaments for the first time.

Englebert’s participation in the HIL highlights her status as a top-tier international player and her commitment to promoting women’s field hockey globally.

On the 26 th January, Soorma Hockey Club finished second of the first edition. Odisha won the tournament.

Charlotte Englebert was named top scorer of the Hero Hockey Indian League with Yibbi Jansen.
