North Delta is a largely middle-class commuter town situated in the Lower Mainland, of British Columbia, Canada. The community is the most populous of the three communities that make up the City of Delta. North Delta is home to numerous parks and recreational opportunities. Alongside North Delta is Burns Bog, the largest raised urban peat bog in North America. As well, Watershed Park provides walking and biking trails, home to many artesian aquifers. Besides this, North Delta is home to a large amount of green-space. As of the 2016 census, North Delta has a population of 56,017.
Vanderhoof is a district municipality that lies near the geographical centre of British Columbia, Canada. It has a population of roughly 4,500 residents within town limits. Due to nearby rural communities without services, Vanderhoof actually supports nearly 10,000 people. Vanderhoof's economic drivers are the forest industry, agriculture, and related industries. Tourism is growing, but has yet to challenge any of the established industries. Mining is growing in importance, with a number of mines being developed in the area. Vanderhoof has many elementary schools and one major secondary school — Nechako Valley Secondary School (NVSS), teaching grades 7–12—which are all part of School District 91 Nechako Lakes. The College of New Caledonia has a regional campus in Vanderhoof.

It is located at the outlet of Little Shuswap Lake, which is the source of the South Thompson River. Chase Creek, which drops over three small waterfalls before flowing through the town, enters the South Thompson just below the lake's outlet.

The name originated from the Similkameen dialect of the Okanagan language word "Keremeyeus" meaning "creek which cuts its way through the flats" referring to Keremeos Creek which flows down from the Upper Benchlands to the Similkameen River that runs by the village.

The goals of Princess Margaret Secondary include increasing reading comprehension and increasing numeracy skills in Grade 8 students. The Princess Margaret Secondary school is located only 2 street blocks east of the Surrey Campus of Kwantlen Polytechnic University. The current building was completed in 1999; a previous smaller brick and mortar building served secondary students at the same site from 1961 until the summer of 1998 when it was demolished.
