Henna is a 1991 Indian romance drama film, written by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas, produced and directed by Randhir Kapoor. It stars Rishi Kapoor, along with Pakistani actress Zeba Bakhtiyar in the title role and Ashwini Bhave. This film was planned and started by director Raj Kapoor, but due to his death during the filming, the remaining portions were directed by his eldest son Randhir. It is considered as the last film of Raj Kapoor. The dialogues of the film were written by the Pakistani writer Haseena Moin. The film was a critical and a commercial success and was also India's submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, but was not accepted as a nominee.
Gardish (transl. Adversity/misfortune) is a 1993 Indian Hindi-language action crime film written and directed by Priyadarshan, starring Shammi Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Aishwarya, Dimple Kapadia and Amrish Puri. It is a remake of the 1989 Malayalam film Kireedam. The film won two Filmfare Awards—Best Art Direction and Best Action (Thyagarajan), and was nominated for Best Actor (Shroff), Best Supporting Actor, and Best Supporting Actress (Kapadia). It marks the debut of actor Mukesh Rishi as an antagonist and Aishwarya's Bollywood debut.

The film is shot in India and Sharjah. It is a loose remake of the Tamil film Pudhiya Mugam, written by Suresh Chandra Menon. The film features songs composed by A. R. Rahman, re-used from Pudhiya Mugam. Rahman was upset with the producers since the music was re-used in the film without his permission.

The film is remake of the Telugu movie Rakta Sambandham (1962), which itself was a remake of the Tamil movie Pasamalar (1961) and already been remade in Hindi as Rakhi (1962). Ultimately once again in Telugu as Anna Chellelu (1993).
Jaani Dost is a 1983 Indian Hindi-language action film, produced by C. Ashwini Dutt, M. Arjuna Raju under the Roja Art Productions banner and directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. It stars Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Parveen Babi, Sridevi, with music composed by Bappi Lahiri. The film was simultaneously made along with the Telugu-language movie Adavi Simhalu, starring Krishna, Krishnam Raju, Sridevi, Jaya Prada in the pivotal roles. Both movies were made simultaneously by the same producer and director, some of the scenes and actors are identical in the two.
