A Doctor of Science is a science doctorate awarded in a number of countries throughout the world.
The National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are centrally funded technical institutes under the ownership of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. They are governed by the National Institutes of Technology, Science Education, and Research Act, 2007, which declared them institutions of national importance and laid down their powers, duties, and framework for governance. The act lists 32 NITs. Each NIT is autonomous and linked to the others through a common council known as the Council of NITSER, which oversees their administration. All NITs are funded by the Government of India.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), formerly SRM University, is a private deemed university, located in Kattankulathur, Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu, India. Founded in 1985 as SRM Engineering College in Kattankulathur, it gained the deemed University status in 2002. Gujarat Technological University (International Innovative University), commonly referred as GTU, is a public state university affiliating many engineering, pharmacy, and management colleges in Gujarat, India. The university is headed by the state government and came into existence on 16 May 2007. Raymond Jones Harbert is an American business executive, investor and philanthropist from Alabama. He is the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Harbert Management Corporation (HMC), a global private investment firm with US$8.2 billion of assets under management. Harbert has served on the board of trustees at Auburn University and became the namesake of the universities Raymond J. Harbert College of Business following a $40 million dollar donation in 2013.

The Raymond J. Harbert College of Business, commonly shortened to Harbert College is the business school of Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. Founded in 1967, it grants both undergraduate and graduate degrees, and is one of the university's 12 constituent schools. Since 2013, the college has been named in honor of Auburn alumnus Raymond J. Harbert, who with his wife Kathryn, gave the college a $40 million gift. Harbert College has over 7,000 students, 136 full-time faculty, 50 part-time instructors, and 98 full-time staff. It is one of the largest business schools in the Southeastern United States.
Bill Hardgrave is an American academic who currently serves as the president of the University of Memphis, a role he's held since April 1, 2022. He was previously the provost and vice president for academic affairs at Auburn University. Prior to his time at Auburn, he served as the Bradberry Chair in Information Systems in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas.
The National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli is a national research deemed university near the city of Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu, India. It was founded as Regional Engineering College Tiruchirappalli in 1964 by the governments of India and Tamil Nadu under the affiliation of the University of Madras. The college was granted deemed university status in 2003 with the approval of the University Grants Commission (UGC), the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and the Government of India and renamed the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli.
