Chew: Family Recipes is a comic book graphic novel written by John Layman and drawn by Rob Guillory as the eighth volume of Chew . [1] [2] [3] Published by Image Comics, [4] [5] the story revolves around cibopathic federal agent Tony Chu as he uses his abilities to communicate with his deceased twin sister Toni Chu across time, attempting to avenge her murder, Tony distancing himself from his friends and family in the process, who begin to investigate Toni's death on their own.

Summary

Anthony (Tony) and Antonelle (Toni) Chu are fraternal twins, each with their own extraordinary (diametrically opposed) abilities: Tony a cibopath, able to get psychic impressions from the past of anything he bites/ingests, and Toni a cibovoyant, able to get psychic impressions from the future of anything she bites/ingests. Having been murdered, Toni and her brother communicate through each other's ability, Tony having vowed to catch her killer, and Toni planning to help. [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] [13] [14]

Rick and Morty is an American comic book series written by Zac Gorman, Kyle Starks, and Alex Firer and illustrated by Marc Ellerby, based on the television series of the same name. Oni Press published the original series across 60 issues from April 1, 2015, until March 25, 2020. Using the television series' established premise of alternate timelines, the first two volumes expressly follow the Rick and Morty of a different dimension (C-132) on the "Central Finite Curve" than the protagonists of the television series so-as not to contradict its continuity, before the series switches focus over to the same Rick (C-137) and Morty of the television series following the "Head-Space" arc (#12–14) in the third volume, featuring sequel storylines to specific episodes of the series, with elements of the comic series and references to its events later being incorporated into the television series. Backup stories of the series alternate between focusing on Rick (C-137) and his Morty and various Ricks and Mortys from alternate dimensions, before the primary storyline switches focus over to yet another Rick and Morty at an unspecified point before/during the final volume of the series. In October 2022, a revival of Rick and Morty was announced for a January 2023 release date, spinning out of the limited series Rick's New Hat, from the same new creative team.

Outer Darkness is an American comic book series published by Image Comics, created by John Layman and Afu Chan, and set in the Image Universe. Set in the far future, the series follows amoral Captain Joshua Rigg and the crew of the starship Charon as they explore the outer darkness of deep space, encountering demonic possessions, hauntings, and cosmic horror as they do so. the title was announced near the end of 2018, running for two six-issue volumes into 2019: Each Other's Throats and Castrophany of Hate, after which it was relaunched in 2020 as Outer Darkness/Chew, a metafictional sequel to Layman's previous series Chew, Rob Guillory returning as a guest artist, the three-issue miniseries collected as Fusion Cuisine.
