Hun Sen is a Cambodian politician and former military officer who currently serves as the president of the Senate. He previously served as the prime minister of Cambodia from 1985 to 1993 and from 1998 to 2023. Hun Sen is the longest-serving head of government in Cambodia's history. He is the president of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP),which has governed Cambodia since 1979,and has served as a member of the Senate since 2024.

Which is the top league of Cambodian football. (PPCFC) Nicknamed the "Red Singha",the club was first formed as Smart United F.C. in 2001. Phnom Penh Crown is one of the most successful and prominent professional clubs in Cambodia,they have won the Cambodian top League eight times,including MCL 7 times and CPL 1 time. Not only did they succeed in winning the league title,Phnom Penh Crown also continued to win the Cup,winning the Hun Sen Cup (HSC) twice,the Cambodian League Cup (CLC) twice and the Cambodian Super Cup (CSC) season opener twice. Phnom Penh Crown is also the only Cambodian club to reach the group stage and semi-finals of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC),and the AFC Cup.
Bilateral relations between the United States and Cambodia,while strained throughout the Cold War,have strengthened considerably in modern times. The U.S. supports efforts in Cambodia to combat terrorism,build democratic institutions,promote human rights,foster economic development,eliminate corruption.
Mu Sochua is a Cambodian politician and rights activist. She was a Member of Parliament (MP) for Battambang from 2013 to 2017,a seat which she previously held from 1998 to 2003. She was a member and Vice President of the Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) until its dissolve,and previously a member of the Sam Rainsy Party (SRP) prior to its merger with the Human Rights Party. As a member of FUNCINPEC,she also served as Minister of Women and Veterans' Affairs in Hun Sen's coalition government from 1998 to 2004. She is currently one of 118 senior opposition figures serving a five-year ban from politics following a court ruling on 16 November 2017.
Theary Chan Seng is a Cambodian-American activist imprisoned in Cambodia. She is an American and Cambodian dual citizen. Prior to her arrest,she was a human-rights activist and lawyer,the former executive director of the Centre for Social Development,and president of the Center for Cambodian Civic Education. She is the author of Daughter of the Killing Fields,a book about her experiences as a child during the Khmer Rouge regime.
Mam Sonando is a Cambodian radio journalist and politician with French dual citizenship. He is the owner and director of Phnom Penh's Beehive Radio,which the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) described in 2012 as "one of Cambodia's few independent news outlets". He also acts as a political commentator for the station.
Anti-government protests took place in Cambodia from July 2013 to July 2014. Popular demonstrations in Phnom Penh took place against the government of Prime Minister Hun Sen,triggered by widespread allegations of electoral fraud during the 2013 general election. Demands to raise the minimum wage to $160 a month and resentment at Vietnamese influence in Cambodia have also contributed to the protests. The main opposition party refused to participate in parliament after the elections,and major demonstrations took place throughout December 2013. A government crackdown in January 2014 led to the deaths of 4 people and the clearing of the main protest camp.
NagaCorp Ltd. is a Hong Kong-listed hotel,gaming and leisure company. Its Cambodian property,NagaWorld,is the country's largest hotel and gaming resort,and is Phnom Penh's only integrated hotel-casino entertainment complex. NagaCorp holds a 70-year casino licence in Cambodia which runs until 2065,and has a monopoly within a 200-kilometre (120 mi) radius of Phnom Penh until 2045.
Tan Sri Chen Lip Keong was a Malaysian businessman with interests in integrated resorts,property and energy. Chen was known for founding the NagaWorld casino in Phnom Penh,the only integrated resort in Cambodia.
Rong Chhun is a Cambodian trade unionist and political activist. He is the president of the Cambodian Confederation of Unions and has been imprisoned several times for his work.
The 2012 Bavet shooting was the shooting of three striking garment workers,Keo Near,Buot Chinda and Nuth Sakhorn,in Bavet,Svay Rieng,Cambodia,by then-town governor Chhouk Bandith on February 20,2012. The shooting and the following court cases received national attention in Cambodia and have been characterised as highlighting the "culture of impunity among Cambodian officials implicated in scandals and the reluctance of Cambodian courts to find justice for the victims of attacks on labour activists."

The Cambodian Alliance of Trade Unions (CATU) is a trade union federation of manufacturing workers in Cambodia. The federation was founded in 2011 and is affiliated with the Cambodian Confederation of Unions and IndustriALL Global Union.
The Nation Power Party is an opposition party in Cambodia. The party opposes the government of the Cambodian People's Party led by Hun Manet. It ran in the 2024 senate elections and 2024 provincial elections but did not gather any seats.
Yang Sophorn is a Cambodian trade unionist and president of the Cambodian Alliance of Trade Unions (CATU). She has been active in the Cambodian trade union movement since 1999 and the subject of both official warnings from the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training and criminal charges later overturned on appeal. Sophorn has been recognized both domestically within Cambodia and internationally for her trade union activities. She has been vocal in demanding global apparel brands which source from Cambodia such as Nike and Adidas be responsible for labor violations in their overseas supply chains.
The Coalition of Cambodian Apparel Workers' Democratic Union (C.CAWDU) is a Cambodian trade union federation representing workers in the textile and manufacturing sectors. C.CAWDU's current President is Kong Athit,who was re-elected for a second term in August 2023. The federation was formed in 2000 and is affiliated to the Cambodian Labour Confederation,as well as IndustriALL and the International Trade Union Confederation.
