Manisha Koirala is a Nepalese actress who works in Indian films, predominantly in Hindi and Tamil. Born to the politically prominent Koirala family, she is the daughter of Prakash Koirala and the granddaughter of Bishweshwar Prasad Koirala, and a recipient of several accolades, including three Filmfare Awards, one Filmfare Awards South and one Filmfare OTT Awards. In 2001, the Government of Nepal awarded her with the Order of Gorkha Dakshina Bahu.

The soundtrack of the film was composed by Viju Shah. With its plot based on the novel Good Children Don't Kill (1967) by Louis Thomas, it is considered as one of the best thriller films from Hindi Cinema.

Mann is a 1999 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film written and directed by Indra Kumar. The film starred Aamir Khan and Manisha Koirala, pairing them for the second time, and also features Anil Kapoor, Sharmila Tagore and Neeraj Vora with Rani Mukerji in a special appearance. This is the second collaboration between Khan and Koirala since Akele Hum Akele Tum (1995). The film is mainly based on the 1957 American film An Affair To Remember. Mann received positive reviews upon release. The soundtrack by Sanjeev–Darshan has been well received but criticised for allegedly plagiarising other songs.

In the UK, he appeared in the BBC soap opera EastEnders as Dan Ferreira, the head of the Ferreira family, from June to December 2003.
Saudagar is a 1991 Indian Hindi-language drama film, directed by Subhash Ghai. It starred two legends of the Hindi silver screen, Dilip Kumar and Raaj Kumar, in lead roles. It was the second film in which the two actors came together after the 1959 film Paigham. It featured the debut performances of Vivek Mushran and Manisha Koirala, the latter becoming a noted Bollywood actress in later years. Amrish Puri, Anupam Kher, Mukesh Khanna, Dalip Tahil, Gulshan Grover, Dina Pathak and Jackie Shroff are also featured in the movie. The story line is influenced by the famous play Romeo and Juliet and Mandhaari's role is parallel to that of Friar Laurence in Romeo and Juliet. It was also inspired by the 1985 Pakistani Punjabi movie Haq Mehar.

Written by Anees Bazmee, it starred Sanjay Dutt, Manisha Koirala, Vivek Mushran, Anupam Kher, Dalip Tahil, Kader Khan, Anjan Srivastav, Gulshan Grover and Shakti Kapoor. The music, composed by Anand–Milind, was the biggest strength of this film. The movie did average business at the box office.
Khauff is a 2000 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Sanjay Gupta, starring Sanjay Dutt and Manisha Koirala. It was an unofficial remake of the American film The Juror. It was released on 3 March 2000.
Ilaaka (transl. Turf) is a 1989 Indian Hindi-language action drama film directed by Aziz Sejawal. It features an ensemble cast of Mithun Chakraborty, Sanjay Dutt, Amrita Singh, Madhuri Dixit, Raakhee Gulzar, Om Puri, Amrish Puri along with Dharmendra making a special appearance. Ilaaka released worldwide on 12 May 1989, and received mixed reviews from critics. Nonthenless, it was a commercial success at the box office.
