Chiloglanis fortuitus is a species of catfish native to West Africa, specifically rivers in Liberia. [1] It was first described in 2023, alongside another species of Chiloglanis, Chiloglanis frodobagginsi . [2]
Chiloglanis fortuitus has a maximum standard length of 35.0 mm, although this measurement was based on a single male specimen. [3] Its oral disc is moderate in size, with the width being equal to the length in measurement.
C. fortuitus differs from all other species in Chiloglanis by possessing 18 mandibular teeth. [3] The oral disc and barbels are cream-colored, while the body is dark brown with patches of light-brown marks.

Many of the smaller species, particularly the genus Corydoras, are important in the aquarium hobby. Many catfish are nocturnal, but others are crepuscular or diurnal.

Crambionella is a genus of Cnidarians belonging to the family Catostylidae. The genus is distinguishable from other Castostylid species by a terminal club on each oral arm without filaments and a canal system featuring a narrow, wide-meshed intra-circular network of interconnected vessels. These vessels solely communicate with the ring canal and not with the radial canals. Four species belong to the genus Crambionella : C. annandalei, C. helmbiru, C. orsini and C. stuhlmanni. C. orsini is the type species for the genus.

It has been currently described from the upper basin of the Kapuas River in West Kalimantan, in a geographic area bordering Sentarum Lake. It has been differed from C. nieuhofii by comparing the holotypes and paratypes from specimens of C. nieuhofii from Sumatra.

Chiloglanis devosi is a species of catfish native to Africa, in particularly rivers in Kenya. The species was first described in 2015, alongside Chiloglanis kerioensis. It was named after Luc De Vos, who had served as the director of the Ichthyology Section of the National Museums of Kenya.
