TVBS Media Inc., formerly Liann Yee Production Co., Ltd., is a Taiwanese commercial television broadcasting company. It was originally established as a joint venture between TVB in Hong Kong and Era Group in Taiwan, but TVB took over Era's shares in the company in 2005. The Beijing Television Cultural Center fire was an urban conflagration on 9 February 2009, in the Beijing central business district of Beijing, involving the uncompleted Beijing Television Cultural Center (TVCC) building. Growing Up with Chinese is a TV program on CCTV-News, the English-language channel of China Central Television, that aims to teach Simplified Mandarin Chinese to teenagers, through the 300 most commonly spoken phrases. It currently consists of 100 episodes, each being 15 minutes in length. Each lesson features 3 short phrases, and a dramatical skit that's played two times.
