Sahih al-Bukhari is the first hadith collection of the Six Books of Sunni Islam. It was compiled by Persian scholar al-Bukhari around 846. The author was born in Bukhara in today's Uzbekistan.
Rama Lake is a lake located near Astore in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It is situated within the Astore Valley, which has a light covering of oak trees and other greenery. As of 2013, the region has been greatly affected by the loss of forest cover, low average rainfall and low vegetation, due in part to widespread illegal logging practices in the valley.

Rupal is a village in the Rupal Valley of the Astore District in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It lies to the south of Tarashing village on the west end of Tarashing Glacier. Nanga Parbat and Rakhiot Peak lie northwest of the village and Chongra Peak lies to the north.
The Rupal River is an east–west glacial stream rising from the meltwater of the Rupal Glacier in Gilgit-Baltistan region of northern Pakistan. The stream flows through the Rupal Valley, south of Nanga Parbat, before turning northeast to the village of Tarashing. The Rupal drains into the Astore River, which eventually reaches the Indus near Jaglot.
The Shingo River is a tributary of the Indus River, and flows through Gilgit-Baltistan and Kargil regions. The river originates in Gilgit-Batistan and flows into the Kargil district where it joins the Dras River. The combined river receives the waters of the Suru River and flows into Baltistan again, joining the Indus River river near Marol.
Chilum or Chilam is a village of Astore District in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It is located near the junction of the Deosai Road and the Astore–Srinagar road. There is checkpost nearby, referred to as Chilam Chowki, at 35°2'8"N 75°6'10" E and elevation 3869 m (12696 ft).

Douan, also known as Doyan, is a village in Astore District of Gilgit–Baltistan, Pakistan. It is located in Astore Valley, at the base of the Himalayas. Doyan is a hill station with a small natural lake at a nearby mountain's top. The road to the village famously has 24 uphill turns. Doyan is named after Dooday Family of Tangir District(citation)required as this pasture was bestowed to them by Maharaja of Kashmir. Doyan was bordering estate of Dogra state of Kashmir with Diamer. Doyan served as base camp for liberation fighters against Dogra state as Molana Abdul Manan led them to Zojila pass with help of local Numberdar Haji Abdul Rahim who provided them logistic support.

Bunji (Urdu:بنجی) is a town in Astore District of Gilgit-Baltistan region in Pakistan. It was historically important, being on the edge of the ancient Yagistan. It was economically a hub for barter trade between Yagistan and Dogras. The distance from Bunji to Gilgit is about 50 kilometres (31 mi) on the Karakoram Highway. Bunji, located at the junction of three Great Mountain Ranges, has its historical importance. The village has its prominent traces in the socio-political and economical situations of the region in History. Literacy rate of bunji is almost 100 percent except outsider coming from other places for jobs. River Indus covers the village from North to west while from eastern side it is connected with river Astore. Baltistan region joins its territory from the North-East.
Muhammad Khalid Khurshid Khan is the President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Gilgit-Baltistan who served as the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, a territory in Northern Pakistan until he was disqualified from his post on 4 July 2023 by the Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Court. He was also a member of the Gilgit Baltistan Assembly from 25 November 2020 until his disqualification.
