Mest is an American rock band originally formed by lead vocalist and guitarist Tony Lovato, bassist Matt Lovato, drummer Nick Gigler, and guitarist Jeremiah Rangel. They broke up in 2006 after eleven years, but temporarily reformed in California in 2008 for a "final tour." Tony released “Not What You Expected” in 2013 and it was announced in 2018 that the classic lineup of Mest, with Tony Lovato, Matt Lovato, Nick Gigler, and Jeremiah Rangel, would be getting back together to track Masquerade.

The band consists of Bob Morris, Chris Faller, Darren Wilson, and Greta Salpeter. Mike Leblanc temporarily replaced Faller after he left the band for a few months in 2008.

It was produced by Fall Out Boy's lead singer Patrick Stump, along with Sean O'Keefe, and Dan Duszynski.
Darren Wilson is drummer of the Chicago-based indie-rock group The Hush Sound. He plays alongside bandmates, Wilson was a member of the band Until Sundown along with Chris Faller, until they were both recruited to play join The Hush Sound in late 2004/early 2005.
Greta Morgan Salpeter is an American singer-songwriter and musician based in Los Angeles, CA. Her career began in 2005 as singer/pianist of the Chicago-based band The Hush Sound. She later formed the band Gold Motel, whose debut album was released on June 1, 2010. Since 2014, she performs under the name Springtime Carnivore and has released two albums.

Company of Thieves were an American indie rock band from Chicago, Illinois, founded by Genevieve Schatz (vocals) and Marc Walloch (guitar). Their first album, Ordinary Riches, was released independently in 2007 and re-released in 2009. Their second album, Running from a Gamble, was released in 2011. The band announced they had no plans to record any new music as of January 2014, but announced a reunion in May 2017.
Mike Leblanc was the bassist and vocalist for the Chicago, United States, Indie-rock group The Hush Sound during the band's "Dance Across the Country Tour" in April, May, and June 2008. Leblanc joined the band after original bassist Chris Faller decided to leave to pursue other musical interest. He was formerly a drummer for the band Dead Letter Dept. which broke up in 2008, as well as the short lived Chicago based group Till This Day.
