Chris Harding (born January 28, 1973) is a sports owner, investor, and philanthropist. Harding is a co-founder and co-owner of Racing Louisville FC, [1] [2] and co-owner of Louisville City FC. He also founded a charity Flew The Coop supporting non-profits rescuing dogs. [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]

Biography

Chris Harding was born in Louisville, Kentucky. [8] He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and Finance degree from the University of Kentucky. [9]

In 2015, together with Brian Underwood and Terry Lacore, Harding co-founded Prüvit, an exogenous keto supplement producer. Harding helped scale the 2015 startup into the global leader in ketone technology with over 200 million servings delivered worldwide and in excess of $2 billion in total sales. [10] [11]

In 2018, Harding became a co-owner of the award-winning Hodges Bay Resort and Spa in Antigua where he commissioned art installations and large-scale murals. [12] In May 2021, Harding installed a 22-foot Boonji Spaceman sculpture created by contemporary artist, Brendan Murphy. [13] [14] [15] [16]

In 2021, Harding connected Hodges Bay with his own animal rescue initiative, Flew The Coop, making it a known Caribbean animal rescue place. [17] [18]

In 2023, together with Murphy, Harding also launched Fast Sneaks, a sneaker company. [6] [7] [19]

Harding owns a controlling stake in Soccer Holdings, Inc., the parent company of Louisville City FC, Racing Louisville FC, and the Lynn Family Stadium. [20] [21]

Personal life

In 2021, Harding moved to Puerto Rico with his partner Danielle Sandhu, and in 2022, they had their first daughter, Gisela Wilde Harding. [2] [22]

Dead Dog Beach is a beach within the municipality of Yabucoa in southeastern Puerto Rico. Its nickname derives from it being a dumping ground for stray animals, mainly dogs that the inhabitants of Yabucoa could no longer afford. Most dumped animals were not spayed or neutered.

The Sato Project is an animal rescue and protection organization founded in 2011 by British-born Christina Beckles. It works to rescue abused and abandoned dogs in Puerto Rico, educating the public and advocating for abused and abandoned dogs. "Sato" is the Spanish word used in Puerto Rico and Cuba for referring to stray dogs or cats. Many of the project's missions have involved airlifting dogs before and after natural disasters, including Hurricane Maria in 2017 and the earthquakes that struck Puerto Rico in 2019 and 2020. "Spayathon" is a spaying and neutering program, attended by Sato Project and other animal rights organizations in Puerto Rico, which has had an impact on the stray dog population.
