Chris Hutchison is an American stage actor, director, teacher and voice actor. The 2023 season is his 17th year as a company member at the Alley Theatre in Houston. [1]

Career

Hutchison holds a B.A. in English from Lafayette College, where he sometimes teaches, and an M.F.A. from the University of Washington. [1] He also teaches acting at the University of Houston. [1]

During his five years at the Alley Theater, Hutchison has performed in over twenty productions, [1] including A Behanding in Spokane (Mervyn), [5] [6] Mauritius (Dennis), [7] [8] The Lieutenant of Inishmore (Padraic), [9] Death on the Nile (Simon Mostyn), [10] Subject to Fits (Ippolit), [11] Proof (Hal), [12] and A Christmas Carol (Bob Cratchit). Hutchison's brother, Brian Hutchison, [17] is also an actor. Hutchison is married to fellow Alley Theatre Resident Acting Company member Elizabeth Bunch and has 2 children.

Some of his major roles include: Gajeel Redfox in Fairy Tail, Hannes in Attack on Titan, Bulat in Akame ga Kill!, and Master Chief in Halo Legends. He is involved in productions for Funimation and ADV Films in Texas. He is openly gay and advocates bringing positive homosexual representation in dubbed anime. He served as ADR director for Sentai Filmworks dubs of Yuri/yaoi titles: Love Stage, Bloom Into You, Hitorijime My Hero, Kase-san and Morning Glories.

<i>Vinland Saga</i> (season 1) 2019 Japanese television season

The Vinland Saga anime television series is based on the manga series of the same name by Makoto Yukimura. Twin Engine announced in March 2018 that the manga would receive an anime series adaptation, with the first season being produced by Wit Studio. The series is directed by Shūhei Yabuta, with Hiroshi Seko handling series composition, Takahiko Abiru designing the characters and Yutaka Yamada composing the music. The series focuses on Thorfinn, the young Iceland villager who aims to participate in wars like his retired father, Thors.
