Chris James is an Australian former rugby league referee who controlled 228 first-grade games.
James started his career controlling matches in the Group Six Rugby League competition. [2] He was graded into the NSWRLRA in 2004, becoming referee number 900. [3] In 2009 he made his National Rugby League debut, controlling a match between the Gold Coast Titans and the Newcastle Knights. That year, he also controlled the Jim Beam Cup grand final and matches at the Pacific Cup. [1]
He became a regular first grade referee and controlled the 2013 City vs Country Origin match. His 100th NRL game was on 5 April 2014, between the Penrith Panthers and the Canberra Raiders. [3] In 2016, Tyson Frizell was suspended for a match for making contact with James, during a match between the St George Illawarra Dragons and the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. [4]
He was sacked by the National Rugby League in 2017 and took legal action, backed by the Professional Rugby League Match Officials and Unions NSW. [5] The parties reached a confidential settlement in 2018. [6]
The North Sydney Bears are an Australian rugby league football club based in North Sydney, New South Wales. They compete in the New South Wales Cup, having exited the National Rugby League following the 1999 NRL season after 90 years in the Sydney competition then two in the NRL. The Bears are based on Sydney's Lower North Shore, and have played at North Sydney Oval since 1910. There is a bid supporting a resurrection of the club in the NRL as the Central Coast Bears, based in Gosford, New South Wales.

'Sam Perrett, also known by the nickname of "Pez"' or "Sammy", is a New Zealand former professional rugby league footballer. A representative for New Zealand at international level, he was a versatile back who was capable of playing on the wing, in the centres and at fullback. He played for the Sydney Roosters and the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the National Rugby League (NRL). Perrett was a member of the World Cup winning New Zealand team in 2008.

Ratu Peni Tagive is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played for the Sydney Roosters in the Australian National Rugby League (NRL) competition. Tagive primarily played on the wing. Although a large winger, Tagive was a speedy athlete, recording 6.79 seconds over 60 metres. Tagive's parents are Fijian and African-American.
Tony Archer is an Australian former rugby league referee. He presided over 319 National Rugby League games as referee between 1999 and 2012 as well as being the referee of 13 State of Origin matches and 9 International matches, including at the 2008 World Cup. He was the former National Rugby League referee's elite performance manager.
